Does anyone think there will be good deals in the post xmas sales for Nivdia GPUs like RTC 4080s etc ? Sadly I think it is just a dream

    Majority of the Nvidia desktop GPU’s are not the best for the current generation of LLM’a vram is too small.
    Need data centre gpu’s or 4080\4090.
    That being said the next gen models work completely differently, simplified version is a small front end index model which redirects to 1 or more targeted specific models, each being small enough to load entirely in vram,
    Enabling you to scale out over a multiple GPU’s with less vram. Now if this approach takes off, we will have another consumer gpu shortage for sure.
