Coles Brand Flavoured Macadamias $5 200g @ Coles

190

Available in Salted Caramel & Sweet Chilli and works out to be $25.00 per 1kg. For me, the salted caramel is the stand out that doesn't taste overly sweet (probably because of the salt).

Great last minute addition to the centerpiece bowl on the Christmas table for when your drunk uncle says the inevitable racist/inappropriate comment and awkward silence ensues, you can say "Did someone say KFC macadamias?"

    Product of Mixed Origin

They grow macadamias here in Australia.

And Coles claims to have a “Australian First Sourcing Policy”.

Oh how convenient, they exclude nuts https://www.coles.com.au/about/sustainability/better-togethe…

      hmmm well it does say:

Australian macadamias, coated in a sweet and salty caramel glaze and expertly roasted for the perfect crunch

And also says on the packaging it is made from 94% Australian ingredients, maybe they import the sugar or salt?

yeah 94% is good enough for me , off to Coles

If I'm not mistaken, they originated in Australia.
The US (Hawaii) now grows a lot

    • I'm sure you'll still buy regardless of your moral rhetoric.

      • Nope. I’m quite particular about where the food I put in my body is manufactured.

I value my health over my wallet.

Thank you, good deal! I love macadamias… got two packs of the salted caramel for Christmas nibbles

  • Can’t find them in my coles anywhere, where are they usually stocked?

    • In my local Coles they were stocked in the fruit & veg section near the front along with a variety of other nuts.

  • Pretty good price per kg. Will look out in my local tomorrow- thanks OP!
