RRP is total BS considering it's always on sale, but $60 delivered is pretty good if the quality is ok. Saw mixed reviews with some people saying their sets are lasting for years and others saying they arrived bent, not SS etc

If you are looking at the 42 piece, consider paying a bit more to get the Baguette set which is 18/10 stainless, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/264873673869?hash=item3dabb3848d…

    OP: Albany is 18/0 stainless

    • The Baguette says "Premium stainless steel", whatever that means. 50-year warranty vs 25

      • +3

Stanley Rogers use the words "High Quality Stainless Steel" and give a 25 year guarantee on their 18/0 lines, and "Premium" with 50 year guarantee for their 18/10 lines.

    • Thanks for clarifying, the description on the Albany 42 piece set also says it’s 18/10 stainless steel so I am confused lol

      • No probs, I've looked at both these lines before and I have some Baguette stuff, so I've researched it before.

        • I think you are right, seems like the description is wrong on the Albany, it’s for the Baguette, thanks for clarifying

I bought this brand a year a go and after a few uses some of the knives started to go rusty. will never buy this brand again

    • Thanks for warning us mate.

    • Damn. Already purchased. Regret it now.

Talk to seller. May process a cancellation. Beats you returning them. It'll be hard for them to fight it. Hey I purchased in good faith only to find buyers reporting then rusting up….here is the ozbargain page in question (and then share link 😂)

If they advertised the wrong grade of steel it’s open and shut false advertising. Easy peasy refund.

I've had a Stanley Rogers Albany set for ~15 years, used as my daily cutlery the entire time.

Never had any rusting, never had any bent cutlery….well, looking now I can see a couple of fork tines slightly off. But pretty sure that was me using my forks to open cans/tins/doing something else stupid.

Zero problem with quality from long-term, daily use here.

  • My Stanley Rogers has been over a decade now and no issue at all.

No quality issues using the Albany set everyday for 3 years, I just don't use the knifes instead I use Victorinox knifes with this set.

  • Harris Scarfe also seem to have a sale. Bought this today
