No. Cheaper at $2117 if you 'build' the 32gb / 1tb configuration yourself

I think the 'build your own' option only comes with 1 year warranty. The pre-configured $2149 one comes with 3 years warranty. Definitely worth paying a few bucks extra.

Just bought one myself earlier today. You can get additional $80 cashback if you have a westpac debit or credit card which brings the total cashback from shopback to $360. Not too bad at all.

      • Whats the link to Westpac credit card cashback?

        • I think thay deal has expired already on boxing day

          • @Bluey123: awwwww :(

This one here, expired sorry. But they do seem to do these cashback deals quite often so if wait for next one if u can hold off

              • @Bluey123: Thanks, will hold off

With all stacked cashback, does the slim 5 come down to $1789? 2149-360?

@Homr: So i bought the $2149 + $26 for the 3 year battery warranty. Total came to $2174.98.

Checked the tracked cashback - After the cashback and westpac cashback bonus it came to $1807.88.

                  • @Bluey123: Thanks

Do you know why they call this model "Slim" when its nothing slim about it? It weighs 1.75kg which is quite bulky

                    • @Homr: Hm.. not too sure to be honest. I just know i was in the market for a 14inch gaming laptop and this seem to fit the bill compared to others within my budget. Gaming laptops in general are usually heavier i think. If id be guessing, Perhaps this is slimmer in terms of gaming laptop but i could be wrong.

      • Warranty does not legally work like that, anyone would expect a laptop to last for more than 1 year.
