Where to Throw Away Small Pebbles for Free/Cheap?

Hello everyone,

I’m cleaning and re-doing my garden. Bought large bin from Bunnings to dump all the pebbles in there (deeply regret laying them few years ago) and replace it with mulches.

Problem is, it’s heavier than I thought and will take forever to throw bits to bits in the waste bin weekly.

Would anyone like a landscaping company take these for free if I advertise it on FB marketplace or through calls? They need a wheelbarrow and ute/light truck because the bin won’t move easily or strong garden bags if anyone intend to take some.

EDIT - Thanks guys. I will advertise it on Gumtree and see what happens. Hopefully, there won’t be any time wasting.

Just list it on fb marketplace or your local fb community group, might get lucky- besides what do you have to lose?

You need special trousers. Fill your pockets and then go for a walk and release the pockets so the pebbles fall out the bottom of your trousers as you walk.

Your photo gives us no idea how much there is.

Put the bin out on the nature strip with a sign "Pebbles: $20". Someone will definitely "steal" them for you.

  Too risky, I have to be present or they’ll leave a mess and it will be a pita to pick it up. Also, I could cop a fine.

Advertise on gumtree:

Got a trash can of small garden pebbles. You can have em for free. You can drop by on the weekend and pick em up from me. But the trashcan ain't part of the deal. Only giving you the pebbles. Get real. Don't have no empty bag, so bring your own. Don't bug me with questions on the phone. Don't ask for help. Dont waste my time. And don't complain, cos they won't cost you a dime.

Split them into batches and dye each batch a different colour. Sell them as aquarium gravel.
