Flight Delhi → Sydney in Feb/Mar 24 (One Way or Return)

Hello family:

I am trying to book for a family member (old lady, will need wheelchair), but despite looking at Skyscanner, Google Flights, and other random site, I can't seem to get it for a "normal" price (below or around $1k).

I am sure it has to be the way I am searching.

Can someone point me in the right direction to get the cheapest fair when very flexible with dates, only constraint is will need wheelchair access.

Departure from Delhi Feb/Mar 24, and if return then from Sydney in Sep/Oct 24, or one way is good as well.

In 2009 I used to pay $1200 and you want $1000 in 2024 after the world gone with inflation above 5%…!

Hope your employer is not thinking the same way … !!!!

    • Yes, they are.. Since Apr 22, I only got a 4% raise plus legislative superannuation increase.

Can I please have the cheaper tickets now?

      • Question is how much raise you got since 2009.. !

Aircraft technology changed to increase efficiency but at the same time fuel prices sky rocket more then efficiency gained by technology in addition payroll also sky rocketed so is interest rates, real estate, airport cost and taxes … !

8:50pm Fri, Mar 1 Sydney, Australia (SYD)

    Baggage Allowance (cb1e02f4204)
Total Trip Time (including layovers): 16h 35m

  • Etihad made is a better offer even flying longer. All online Back in 09.
Last flight we used Cheers Travel in Adelaide, was $800 cheaper than Qantas. We refused to pay for the Caviar.

  • Found alot with Kiwi.com, under a $1000 total without checked luggage. These are with one stopover in KUL/ Kuala Lumpur usually. You will have to double check the wheel chair access.

    • Thanks.

If she is travelling alone, i recommend spending a bit more for a direct flight. If she needs a wheelchair, she will be on her own sitting at the gate alone during layovers.
