Help with iPad Pro 11" Not Charging/Powering on

Hi all,

Daughter has an iPad Pro 12." from 2021. Been working fine. Last night it fully drained battery and refused to indicate charging/powering on when plugged in.

Have tried the up down and power button reset option suggested by Apples website to no avail. Have had it plugged into charger all day also with no sign of life.

Can anyone suggest any other options before I start dealing with Apple over warranty.

Thanks in advance.

make sure the charger and cable you have are working. test it in another device

    • Can you enter DFU mode if your ipad doesnt turn on?

Have confirmed that the charger and cable both work at least on another USB C charging device. Can anyone confirm if an ipad should dissepate any heat whilst charging? The ipad is cold as ice even though its been on charge all day.

Yeah did that. MIraculously, it powered up. Did the volume up down and power reset and it powered on after trying same method several dozen times today. Noticed that the power adapter had gone cold which to me suggested battery had stopped charging. Plugged it into another charger and tried the reset trick and it powered on. Doing a full backup in Mac os now. Thak the lord. She had a lot of drawings and audio recordings which she had not ever backed up on there.

      Thanks guys for the suggestions.

Thak: now that I have done you a miracle how about repaying it by buying some property over in this suburb?

      • Ensure you get iCloud going, then!

        • 90 gb of photos and im to cheap to pay for the monthly upgrade to storage. Prefer to just backup to her laptop which has now been done. TIme for her to cleanup up her photos.

    • This, I was having issues and gently taking to it with a wooden toothpick turned out more fluff than my lint tray.
