Gotta say once you go titanium. You gonna wonder how you have put up with the weight of stainless steel band for this long.

    • Nah stainless steel is awesome and I don't even notice I'm wearing it.

Heh - I treated myself over the holidays and ordered a 47mm from Aragon that was on clearance (I was too chicken to try out one of their 50mm monsters). I'm keen to see how well it wears and whether it's going to be uncomfortable or not.

        • Aragon make great watches and they are great value, starting to release watches in smaller sizes (40mm) as well.

          • @martygeeoz: Sounds interesting, solar? Guessing a dive style watch but 40mm is nice.

            • @G-rig: They do mostly dive style watches, the most recent 40mm was a square cased watch with an auto movement. They don't do solar movements at the moment. Aragon did just announce they are doing a titanium dive watch in 45 and 50mm but with a Miyota 9015 movement. I am VERY interested in this as I don't have a watch with that movement yet, and it will be exhibition caseback. And it will be a good price. Only downside is that it will be released as a mystery box, but it should look similar to other Divemaster models.

@martygeeoz: Cool that's interesting, would be a good proposition for the money. Glad they are doing the 9000 series Miyotas, the 8000 can be pretty average and outdated (depending on which one).

                • @G-rig: $USD175 - omg I just bought it. Comes to just over $300AUD with shipping.

                  • @martygeeoz: Well done you! What size and dial did you opt for? I watched the video, it sounds like it's going to be awesome.

                    • @Chazzozz: Full lume white dial @ 45mm. Fills both the titanium and the 9015 holes in my collection.

@martygeeoz: Nice! That’s the same as what I’d get, too. I’m just going to wait and see how an Aragon watch suits me first before I commit to any more.

I think you'd notice a difference. Those Willard homages are quite heavy.
It's not like i go looking for titanium watches, but this one seems great.

        • +1

Yeah. I did not go out looking for a titanium watch
But when i got one. The difference was noticeable.

    • I have a stainless steel version of this in black and it’s an awesome watch, not too heavy.

These new releases are good but not WR 300 bar marked like the earlier Ray Mears Tough Watches and not available in black.

I may get the grey one if the price dips, prefer black though.

      • Positve feedback is good. not too much not to like. I'm not sure who would need 300m over 200m but nice to have.
It's more of a grey than black.

I like this one, but the bracelet doesn't get good reviews but doesn't quite look right on the fabric either

        • Mine has the same type of steel bracelet and I have had no problems for many years. The flip clasp is rock solid.

          • @Grok: It's fine just saying the new glide clasp style too long for my wrist

    • Some people may prefer the heaviness of stainless steel or even precious metals like gold in high-end watches.

A great tool watch. Do you need to be a tool to wear it? ;)

Great looking super clean titanium GADA in green :).
Nice set of dimensions, I'd personally like 40mm but I've heard these hug the wrist well.

Wish the black face was the same price!

  • Cant say I like the look of this one at all :(

      Maybe you'd prefer this one.

I knew before I clicked. If you know, you know.

      • You should post it WatchNerd, isn't that ATL or atleast equal to ATL? 😅

  • The ad says it "has all the tools for the toughest terrain." What do they mean?

  • I've had the pmd56-2952 for several years and has been a great watch. Lightweight, can swim with it, easy to read and accurate. Only downside is it is complicated to adjust time and date, I always sync via an app anyway.
This model makes it easy to adjust time and date but lacks day indicator.

    • +1

That one looks handy, just had a look. I don't think you can go wrong with this one, super legible, tough, light, solar..
I don't care about date and most people know what day it is, just an extra thing to set (moreso annoying for autos).

    • I prefer the look of the JDM version. It also has on the fly micro adjust in the clasp.

      • just a heads up - the new citizen glide clasps are very long, and don't work for smallish wrists (returned a Citizen because of it), bit of a gimmick and I'm sure most desk divers won't be putting them on over a wetsuit. I prefer the normal 3 hole ones, spaced out pretty good.

        • I'm not familiar with the new one but it does look quite long.

Clasp on the PMD56-295X is not unusually long, though.

    • Not a Promaster, no logo, only 100 Bar

      • The Citizen Titanium BM8560-29E is not Titanium?

      • Yup not promaster but it seems to be very good value

  • With express post can it arrive to NSW on next Wednesday? Could someone who has bought from them please let me know about their shipping.

    • NSW is pretty big. Are we talking Cameron Corner or suburban Sydney?

No matter what is said here this is their published shipping policy

There is a bus stop out the front if that helps further.

There is a Dan Murphy's next door if that also helps.

      • Thanks. I'm near South Sydney so if they ship from NSW I guess it will come in time.

        • It can take up to 3 days before it even enters the postal system. So Thursday morning it might get posted and if you're lucky delivered on Friday or next Monday.
