I didn't get an email. Cheers for the heads up

      • what does this mean?

        • +1

You can get 10.5% of the purchase value back with CashRewards

@FireRunner: Do you have to sign up for cash rewards or does it automatically apply

            • +1

@tenokata: You have to sign up and click through the CR website. It takes a few weeks for the cash back to be available in your cash rewards account.

@FireRunner: oh damn. Is it worth waiting the few extra weeks for the CR?

                • +1

@tenokata: The cash back is tracked when you purchase but it takes a few weeks for you get the payout. I.e. you purchase as normal but you won't get the money back for a while.
If you're purchasing anyway definitely sign up and click through. Just remember to cash out when it's ready

@FireRunner: Ill watch a video on it, but thanks for the help anyways

                  • @FireRunner: wait it says that the 10.5% cash back for lenovo ends in less than 2 hours. Is that a glitch or no?

                    • @tenokata: no, it means the eligibility for the upsized cashback ends today at midnight.

      • Ooo that's good. Might pull the trigger tonight.

        Thank you!

        • me too

        • lowkey if you do it ill do it

          • @tenokata: Got told by my wife to wait till my birthday next month.

The better cashback deals have been almost a month apart.

Nov 24 Dec 26 so may be in another 3 weeks we see a better one haha.

Edit: although mine is for gaming and not as important as your case which is studies.

            • @faraz4oz: i just bought the laptop whilst the 10.5 % cashback is active. Do i have to wait a few weeks until i see the notification on cash rewards that i bought from lenovo or do i have to wait a few weeks until i can claim the cash rewards

              • @tenokata: You should get an email within the next day or two advising that your purchase from Lenovo has been tracked, and then you can check under My Rewards to see the likely date that the cash back will be approved. After it's approved the funds will be available for withdrawal.

        • i only have 1500 and cant transfer any money so i have to buy at 1529 😭

@tenokata: Hey thought I'd come back and share that shop back has a 15 percent cashback and additional 100 dollars if you use Westpac card.

In case you have not bought your laptop. Don't use Lenovo education store as cashback is not eligible on student IDs.

            Good luck.

            • @faraz4oz: I already bought the laptop and i do not own a Westpac card. Ive seen some people saying that shop back ins unreliable and cash rewards is better, and i bought the laptop for 1370 and I'm honestly fine with that.

  • Think you meant 16gb not 6gb

  • Is it on site or back to base warranty?

  • I used to like Lenovo PCs but recently saw a few issues with the quality of the product. I bought my grandkid a student Lenovo laptop from OfficeWorks and it totally broke down in a week and we got an HP replacement. A friend's Lenovo ThinkPad encountered HW issue after 4 years. I have been using a cheap Lenovo desktop (ideacentre) for 5 years now and the front USB ports have all stopped working. I begin to wonder if the quality of Lenovo PCs has gone downhill.

At the moment Lenovo's build quality for the LOQ seems to be much higher than that of similar products at around the same price point such as the Acer Nitro 5, MSI gf63 or some laptops from the TUF series, and all the techies here advised that i strictly stay away from MSI laptops and buy this one if im going to be using it for school and gaming, cause the build quality is significantly better. I can say that Lenovos build quality is better than MSI because i have an MSI gf63 thin and my friend bought a lenovo gaming laptop, and the build quality and durability of his laptop far exceeds mine for the same price.
