VPN That Works Specifically for Turkey YouTube? without "Your Location Couldn't Be Detected" Error

Hi,

I cancelled my YouTube premium subscription to Turkey with the thinking of changing to Pakistan.

I then quickly realised that given the trajectory of the currencies, it is likely that Turkey will end up being cheaper than Pakistan anyway. Although you could say Turkey is more likely to have a hike in price.

I'm now wanting to reactivate it Turkey. The period hasn't ended yet (will be ending 23 Jan) so I have 10 days to find a Turkey VPN that will work on YouTube. I've tried PIA, CyberGhost, SurfShark, NordVPN, Ivacy, AtlasVPN, Windscribe, and UrbanVPN. YouTube successfully detects all of these VPNs as being located in Turkey (except for UrbanVPN - Israel) which is a good start, but then it tells me "Your location couldn't be detected" which I believe is translation for "we know you're using a VPN".

Any suggestions?

      Thanks just tried. Although YouTube does indeed load the Turkish version, the YouTube Premium page shows me "GEL" as the currency… Georgian Lari

    VPN Unlimited by KeepSolid worked for me on Sunday after a couple of tries, the problem I had after that was the payment would not go through. It kept getting rejected because my card was not issued from Turkey, even though it worked previously & still does for my other Google subscriptions.

      Wow it's been a long time since I've installed an app that says "A restart is required to complete the installation" though..

      edit: I disobeyed and tried to do it without restarting. It worked as in YouTube didn't give me the "Your location couldn't be detected" error!

      But I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing the same issue as you - which is the billing country error:

      Transaction declined. This purchase requires a payment method from your billing country. [OR_RECR_05]

      So, I'll give up now cause I can't get past this. Unless I use oldubil which I think doesn't work anymore anyway?

      But thanks anyway because your suggestion helped me get past the first step I was stuck at!

        Try adding it as your secondary card?

        Had issues (although different) when I updated my card. Ended up adding as secondary card, wait for primary to fail and used secondary. Once the payment is approved remove the primary.

          Hm can't. Because the issue now is that the subscription is marked for cancellation, so it won't even attempt to charge the primary card.

    I recently had to relocate my family from Turkey to Pakistan… it was a nightmare packing everything up, but I'm glad I did as things just became too hard with Turkey.

    https://controld.com/ unfortunately they stopped the trial that gives unblocking, you now have to buy a month. Cheapest way to get it is https://www.stacksocial.com/sales/control-d-5-year-subscript… and then $10 to get unblocking. With this deal you always pay $10 instead of $40 for ongoing years. For first 5 years you pay (40 + (5*10) = $90. So $18/year. But year 6 onwards it's $10/year. I currently have YT set to Albania as a guy on WP said there's no adverts. I wouldn't know as I hardly use YT.
