Can You Use eBay Gift Card to Purchase on eBay USA?

I don't care if there's a transaction fee of some kind, just curious if this can be done?
I see google results, seeming to indicate the gift card payment system is fairly picky, but curious if anyone knows for sure.

    No.

    You can use it for a product listed in foreign currency on eBay AU, but with some error chance.

    should be OK to add ".au" into the URL and proceed to checkout on au site, pay with au gift card.
    try it, enter your gc, just don't pull the trigger if you want to back out

    If the item isn't listed on the AU site, the seller is likely not shipping that item overseas

      I have a USA address I'd like to buy some US items to be sent to their house.
