Free Thermal Imaging Cameras Available to Borrow from Boroondara Libaries

Hi, I'm new here, not sure if this counts as a 'deal' or not.

Found out recently that Boroondara Libraries offer thermal imaging cameras to use for free (for library members). You can just borrow them as you would any other library item: https://boroondara.spydus.com/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/FULL/WPAC/B…

They can be really useful to help identify where buildings are leaking in or out in particular. More information here: https://www.boroondara.vic.gov.au/waste-environment/climate-…

This is the camera model available, the FLIR TG165-X: https://www.flir.com.au/products/tg165-x/

Now, this technology is new to me, but I'm pretty sure that's Homer Simpson in the oven, rotating slowly. His body temperature has risen to over 400 degrees - he's literally stewing in his own juices.

  • Many local libraries have it, you just have to check and book earlier on, just don't wait for the first wind chill to look for it you'll be lucky to get your hand on it by the time Santa comes.
