Don’t get a metal fan as they are too noisy.
Omega Altise fans are quiet, reliable and effective and last for many years in my experience.

    • yeah, I agree! I had a cheap Target one once, and it was horrible. I'm after one I can ideally control with a little remote but ultimately size and how quiet it is are the most important factors (not looking to spend more than $200)

    • do you know how many DBs its putting out by any chance? there's no information on their website :(

it actually looks pretty cheap (in comparison to the Mitsubishi Electric one I was looking at)

or via your actual local library in many cases, if you are already a member.

    • Yes but I think the reviews that are on their website are not yet in the magazine.. i looked the other day, wondering if vornado is worth the high price

yeah i just checked and looks like there are no reviews in the magazine for pedestal/floor fans - they only have an issue on ceiling fans… which I'm not on the market for

    • oh wow brilliant, thank you!

    getem DC fan

    • what? are there good DC pedestal fans you're thinking off? most I see are ceiling fans

      • most of the pedstal standing dc fans are good imo, the more difficult thing is finding someplace with stock. I've got a viomi smart pedestal fan from last year's deal for 70 bucks , it's probably the best fan I've ever gotten
