Does Bunnings Ever Discount Gerni Pressure Washers?

I’m in the market for a pressure washer and one of the mid range Gerni (7000) has caught my eye.
I’m holding off purchase until as late as possible to see if they come n special -( Karchers have been discounted recently). But looking through discounts don’t seem to be there.
Am I wasting my time and should just buy one, or do they do discounts?

Bunnings don't have sales. The only time they drop prices is to price beat competitors by a few cents. A lot of bunnings stock have model numbers exclusive to bunnings which can make price matching as a buyer difficult and a waste of time.

The only time bunnings prices are really sharp is when the item becomes a clearance item.

      Not true.

I often find stuff at great prices on clearance

        As per my last paragraph?

I was discussing the untrue sentence, not the last paragraph.

            @jv: That makes sense. Cheers

          • @jv: There are two statements and they seem pretty clear to me. The first sentence is the rule, and the second sentence is the exception.

It is not a rule, it is just wrong.

              • @jv: That first sentence is an exact quote I received from a Bunnings employee when in store. I was explicitly told "Bunnings don't have sales".

My comment is about the second sentence.

To answer your query regarding discounts, yes they do for Gerni products but the frequency of it happening is rare. Example

With that being said, the 7000 series you've got your eyes on has already been discounted ~$65 from its high only a couple of months ago. So it's possibly but unlikely it would go down further. Refer here

    • Many thanks for that Gnilgorf perfect context for decision making. 👍

    Why specificity a Gerni?

    • Why specificity

      Is that you Kevin ?

    • It seems to have a sweet spot for me of pressure, flow volume, hose length and warranty.
The Karcher offering seems to be either cheaper without the accessories I want, or more expensive for the next spec increment.

iirc Bunnings IS the main supplier for Gerni (at least the 7000 one) - will be hard to get a random price drop.

You may be better off considering karcher and waiting for SCA to do a ripper deal then try and price beat it at bunnings instead

Nilfisk have sold the rights of Gerni to Ozito.

If I were you, don’t wait. I wanted that model so for Father’s Day 2022, asked for Bunnings vouchers. Went into Bunnings 2 weeks later and all the Gerni range had gone up by 10%. So my point is, the price will not drop unless they need to clear an old model. But it will go up.

  • Follow up. About half the local Bunnings didn’t have stock so Bought the Gerni last night.
