Just note it is a VA panel

    • $400 is pretty much the going price for a 34" widescreen and VA panel.

So you mean superior contrast ratio over IPS? Got it, thanks.

      • VA: 4000:1
      • IPS: 1000:1
  • Not too bad, however all ultra-wide deals have since paled in comparison to this absolute ripper of a deal from May 2023.

Similar as above but with an IPS panel, VA is unfortunately vomit worthy by comparison.

    • Nice that is very cheap for an IPS 34 inch, wonder how long it will take for another deal like that to come back around

    • VA is better in some respects for ultrawides.

IPS monitors suffer from "IPS glow". More noticeable at night and on large monitors since much of the surface area is not directly in front of you.

VA has superior contrast / black levels over IPS.

That IPS you linked has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 according to Philips specs. The VA in this deal has 4000:1.

      • Who negged? Is what I said wrong? I put it to your neg is wrong!

Nice let me know how it compares once you get it, this monitor has higher contrast ratio and better colour accuracy compared to other deals I've posted so interested to see how it fairs

      • Reporting back, it's been pretty good (works consistently, no dramas), the only complaint I have is that I am not used to the nipple button acting as both a button and a joystick control for directions on selecting menu items at the same time.
I placed it vertically as my desk is not wide enough for three ultrawide monitors.

I don't know much about colours so I cant comment in that regard.

        • Nice is there much black smearing or ghosting?

    • How do you plan to pair them, stack vertically?

      • Nah, plan to stack them horizontally
