  • Can I port from Boost to use this?

    • +1

You sure can without major issues. Every year I go from Telstra to boost prepaid and then back again the next year. It normally transfers without issue but 6 mounts ago, a transfer got stuck in limbo (as it's basically going Telstra to Telstra in the back end). I had to call and wait for a manual transfer. All previous times, it worked without issue

    • +1

What is the benefit of doing this? So you can rejoin boost with a discount Sim?

      • That's right.

Most of the good Boost deals you see here on OzB are "Prepaid Starter Packs" so existing numbers on the network aren't eligible.

A port-out/port-in though does the trick.

  • +4

I can give you a vodafone $30 sim for port in and out if you want.
Please Msg me your order number and enquiry so that we don't make a mistake.

  • +1

We do have a few sims that expires on April as well, Please msg me so that I am not mixed the order.

    • sent you message.

    • Hi Simonline@Simonline
If you have a spare Vodacard Prepaid …I'll take it ..THANKS

  • 230GB (80GB more) for $280 ($52 more) at Telstra? https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/prepaid-mobiles/off…

    • Yeap, we used to sale lots of telstra and other brand sim cards in the past. You can navigate to our past posts.

      • +2

Will you stock the 230GB telstra one?

  • -1

Your past deals had more data then this?

    • +3

That was a year ago, I wish I make these sims and will be very happy to give you as much data as you like. Unfortunately Telstra take the control.

      • +4

Then perhaps the discount code should be 2014?

  • Someone told me that he can use it overseas while connected to wifi doing calls over ip, is that correct?

    • +3

Yes, WIFI call if working for Telstra sims, but you do not need to buy a long life sim card, which makes your spend much more than a $2 start kit and recharge $10

    • +1

Yes you can also do this on Boost as it’s the same network

    • -1

Yup, I am using one now, been calling over wifi whilst overseas. Big plus compared to other network (Voda/ Optus).

  • What's the benfit over Boost's plan $230 170gb plan?

    • +3

esim, some areas internet speed faster, easier store support, eg lost or damaged sim card during usage.
These are the only advantage that I can think of.

      • Also telstra perks like movie tickets,
telstra points to purchae from their online store,
You can also link your Telstra phone number to google Home devices to make calls from assist speakers

        • +6

aren't you getting perks with Boost?

      • So is this deal for physical SIM or eSIM?

    • +3

current price is $179, not $230

      • Let me try finish this one, we'll do boost later on.
The account and store was managed by wife. She wasn't get time in the past as our new born boy.
I am not quite familiar with how to use the apps, try not to do handle too many in order to avoid mistakes.
Hopefully I can do as good as her to satisfy our clients.

      • How did you get this price? For me still 228

    • If you go roaming, as long as you connect to nearby wifi with VoWiFi detected, you can call and receive calls to Australia only at no extra cost (as if you are in Australia).

      • Depends on the device. No luck in France with Pixel 6 or Pixel 7.

        • No luck in Samsung Galaxy S23 as well but works perfectly in ALL iPhone's including older models such as XR

        • +1

how do you do it without accidentally costing yourself a fortune?

          • +2

            @belongsinforums: Zero Risk with Prepaid

But could be risky with post paid

        • Worked for me in France on a Pixel 6 just fine.

  • Is it 5G?

  • 5g?

    • yes

  • Will it arrive to Perth before the 8th Feb tho? Things from east coast take ages to deliver here :(

    • Jeepers, 3 weeks, surely

    • +2

you may choose express shipping, I edit it for $0.5 only to suits for anyone really need express.
Australia post says next day delivery, I assume it at the slowest speed shall arrive in a week.

  • Thanks bought getting sick of MORE mobile network oh well it was free

  • I'm on telstra postpaid atm, can I switch and keep the same mobile?

    • Probably best to port out and port back in.

    • You can do it before, not sure with their new systems, after they moved from Siebel to salesforce. Check quickly with their support.
Can reduce the hassle of port out n port in.

Convert Postpaid to prepaid and provide the new SIM card #.

      • So just contact customer service and ask to go from post to pre and provide the sim number that comes on the pack?

        • Yeah, thats right.

  • I thought Telstra doesn’t do the $300 sim only the $320 how will this work?

    • they making the new sims which is $320 to replace the $300 sims, the $300 won't in the market after the latest expire date one expires.

  • Excellent deal, can finally use my Pixel watch LTE!

    • I thought I had to be post paid for Telstra One Number?

  • +1

    Are the 5G speeds capped?

  • Does Pixel 8 Volte VoWifi work with this?

    • +1

      Does for me.

      • Thanks for confirmation

  • +3

I bought the below one last week for $244 and ported from Boost to Telstra just by following the normal process of sim activation. Was up and running straightaway.

    https://www.oztechbiz.com.au/product/telstra-320-prepaid-sim…

  • Can I keep my existing number?

  • Is this for new customers only?

  • +1

    • +1
