Ehh I got a pack when it was $1/400g and it was edible but it's nowhere near the quality of deli salami. It's kind of like the salami version of chicken loaf lol.
Yes this, 100% agree. It's almost like a cross between ham and salami. It doesn't even look quite right/like actual salami. In the picture on the front the fat component of the salami looks white, i.e. normal; but in actual fact the fat component of this 'salami' is a weird off-pink colour. It's almost as though the fat itself has been reconstituted in some way. It's a bit bizarre. The stuff tastes OK, but as others have said, doesn't taste as good as 'normal' salami.
Agreed, it tastes very very very weird. Wife brought it home on special, went to the dog.
I wouldn't put it on my pizza.

@franco cozzo: There are specific health risks associated with processed meats, so if I’m going to eat it I at least want to enjoy it. If someone had tried and reviewed a plant based one and said it didn’t taste nice, I probably wouldn’t bother buying it either.

Had a shelf full of reduced ones at my local. Bought a pack for $1.70 to try. Can’t say it was worth it even at that price…
