Hi all, optus sport is getting ridiculously expensive, especially for non optus members. Now I know it's not possible to share the sub, so the question what's the cheapest optus plan to get Optus sport @$7/month.

this is the right answer, Optus Sport signin is seperate from the optus one that has account access (as long as the account holder doesnt make it the same), pretty straightforward to share.
As OP mentioned, it's not possible to share the sub. You won't be able to both watch a game.
You can register Optus Sport on up to four different devices but unfortunately, you can only have one stream active at any one time.
Check classifieds if anyone is selling their Optus sub, pops up occassionally.
Probably 20GB for $20 Sim Only Data Plan. Then you would get it for $7 a month.
So $27 a month with 20GB of data vs $25 a month directly. Could pay $199 annually which is $16.50 a month.
You just need to make sure you get value for your $20 and use the 20GB.
