My friend's told me about this deal - I've always been paying north of 90 bucks for a Super Robot Wars fix before this so this price is news to me. DLC pack is also on sale at half price (10 AUD).

HK version has English. I've been able to use NAB debit card to pay for it but my friend's Macquarie debit wasn't. However, you can buy a pre-paid card on Nintendo HK eshop with Macquarie bank.

or if that doesn't work - play-asia.com also sells HK eshop card.

Just use google translate and it's quite straight forward.
Creating a HK Nintendo account is required - but again, it's straight forward. Or you can use any of your spare account and change the region in account setting to HK.

Super Robot Wars V is often regarded as better than T/X - I've only started but the story already seems better.

  so do you need to have an account that is in the hong kong region in order to play the game or can you buy it and add it to your main account?

    you just need hk region account to buy.
    Then you can use any account to play it - my main is Aus account.

    that's a strange error.
    Maybe your debit card might not have enough fund?

    also - I did come across 1 error when I first tried to buy it. I had to log into that HK account on my switch before I attempted again.

    Seems like it is very annoying to setup an account with Korean region. You need a phone carrier from Korea to confirm your identity.

      im not sure, i did changed my account to HK for a spending of ~$300 AUD on a game to be off the shelf.

    YMMV I guess. Obviously gameplay wise it's very similar.
    But story wise some fans are claiming this is better.
