Been seeing couple posts on reddit and redflagdeals of users in other countries saying their Netflix Turkey accounts being placed on hold, cc removed from accounts etc.
Curious if anyone in Oz has had this happened yet, but so far this doesn't look good.

I don't know how they think at the Nexflix command centre but I'd think that if someone cares enough to go through the hoops to get a cheap sub they'd probably care enough to ditch it altogether and go a cheaper / free way when that fails.

not sure what happened. but my payment failed today and payment method was removed. so account was placed on hold.
i tried to use pingme and it wasnt working on netflix's end. so as previously tried, i used the live chat option. it was easy. within 2 minutes, its all sorted out now.
Seems others have done the same on redflagdeals only to be blocked or placed on hold again, time will tell how quickly netflix enforces their geolocation banhammer
Had an email from Netflix today saying that there’s another price hike coming to Netflix Turkey on Feb 29 2024.
When I signed up for the Turkey membership back in 2022, I was charged TL 54.99 for the 4K tier.
There have been several price increases since then - going to 79.99, 93.99 and then 199.99
From the end of Feb, the 4K will be charged at TL 229.99.
Not quite the bargain it once was, but still less than half the price of an account charged in AUD…

seems like they are aware of the abuse and trying to slowly ween people off Turkey Netflix perhaps
Easiest method I've found of updating payment details for Turkey accounts is via a Smart TV (Chromecast etc) - doesn't seem to have anywhere close to the same level of checks (mobile MFA or CC country validation) as the website.
Also TV doesn't even have to be using a VPN.
How do u do this on chromecast? I can't find anywhere in the Netflix app on chromecast that allows me to update payment
It only appeared for me after my account lapsed and payment was due immediately to continue using Netflix. Haven't found any option to update payment details for upcoming payments.
My Turkish Netflix account has just had multiple households blocked, has this happened to anyone else or am I extremely unlucky?

Well my account was just cancelled.
My account just had the signed out message, and then asking me to sign up again. I was last charged 3 days ago.

Unfortunately you need to raise a dispute with your bank and they would be able to refund you

While Netflix is specific to region/country due to content licensing and currency of the payment. We have noticed the activity on your account does not match the same & this activity is not aligned with the practices to the country you are in.

Was in the middle of playing Football Manger on my tablet. Was asked to sign in. Seem to be logged out of all devices. TV prompted me to sign up again.
Paid about 20 days ago. Been on Turkey billing for 2.5 years.

Damn, the Netflix site won’t even open when VPN is on. Getting Netflix was denied error. Checked with Indian location with multiple browsers.
However, Vietnam seems to be opening up, but prices are not so good. $3-$5 less than AU version.
They have a real crackdown this time around.
Cancelled here also. I'm done with Netflix now… live chat basically said accounts are locked to the one country. Refused to help and told me to change the payment method to Australia
