Massage Chair Recommendations under 5k

Hi,

Have started looking into massage chairs and there seem to be quite a few options so was hoping for some recommendations please. Budget is anywhere up to 5k.

I've seen the Livmore ones from ozplaza which seem to be cheap and reasonable but also the more expensive ones from Costco which might be better? I'm open to spending more on this but of course if its all the same at a cheaper price i'm all for that.

Thanks in advance

So you are the guy that keeps those people in business?

  • I've a mate who has I think the Livemore chair, though I think they paid like $6,000 for it. Seems to do a good job. Has these blow up cushions that inflate and deflate to hold you in and massage you from the sides, and these grabby things that massage your shoulders and back and go down to your butt. Kinda weird. But seems powerful enough to be a real massage. If you use it hundreds of times then it must work out cheaper than paying for massages.

  • If only you could get one with the option of a happy ending. 😁

    • If your'e adventurous enough I'm sure you can get the chair to give you that too.

    • You could ask them to throw in a fleshlight!

      • It just wouldn't be the same.

Just skip the chair and pay for a couple of real massages. Novelty may wear off quickly.

    • Yeah, got a massage chair. Was amazing initially, but after too many long massages it's just not the same anymore.

  • Paid a little over 2k for a livmore one circa 2020, I wouldn’t recommend.

    Nothing beats a proper physio/massage

  • Have you ever had a pedicure in one of those nail bars? I am serious here - the massage chairs are quite lovely.

Last year when I was having a pedicure, the owner of the salon mentioned they were refurbishing in a couple of months and getting all new chairs. The existing ones were going to be sold for around $700 each.

If those are okay, you might want to ask around.

  • I really like the osim uDivine V2 Massage Chair i bought, if you go in store and negotiate the price its a lot lower than what on their website. You can also try all of them. If there's a store not too far from you, I'd say go and try one (sit in there for a good 30-60 min, yes they let you). Go home and see how you feel, wait a week and try another one.
