12 Beers of Christmas $20 (Was $40) C&C or in Store Only @ BWS

610

12 assorted beers in bottles and cans for $20. Says out of stock but if you in put your postcode many stores still have 1-2 left. Employees tell me that if it shows 1 left that means there are really 2 left. I think this is a good value buy and nice to have variety in the fridge. Day 3 would be such a disappointment.

Most of those days will be a disappointment.

      • It’s all the woolies/endeavour home brand beers , I don’t mind a few of them

        • +1

Getting harder and harder to find the independent breweries amongst the rabble these days. I can't imagine if Woolworths is putting out 10 lagers that they aren't all just the exact same thing with different branding.

          • @tromboc: The irony is they are regularly using the independents to make some of their more expensive labels

    • yeh putting 0% in is a real waste

      • +1

There's some decent zeros out there. Can't knock them until you've tried them. Haven't had this one though so I'm unable to vouch for it.

0% is stupid, that's like no sugar coke. if you are going to have a coke, then have a real coke with real sugar. if you don't want sugar drink water.

          • +2

@Hugh G Rection: What if you want a rum and coke but no sugar?

Do you drink rum and water instead?

          • @Hugh G Rection: Don’t like it? Don’t drink it.

It’s good for people who like beer but want to drive. And even if they aren’t driving, they can drink what they like.

          • @Hugh G Rection: You sound like my father, times are changing Dad!

      • Literally the fist thing that comes to mind when I see 0% beer:

A little like making love in a canoe

Not if your party game gets a rename to the "12 minutes of Christmas".

I don’t mind a zero alcohol beer. Occasionally I’ll have one with lunch on a work from home day. Also handy for guests who may not drink alcohol at a BBQ.

  • Can’t find stock in Melbourne CBD or Melbourne East.
Funny thing is I sell this pack too for $5. But have none in stock.

    • +1

I did have a look before posting and there was a few in the Melbourne area but it was like 1-2 per store and people started clicking as soon as I posted so I think it will sell out quick.

  • Southern Cross store indicated two in stock. Ordered one for pickup and got a call saying no stock

  • +1

    Just ordered one!

  • +1

Ordered and collected last one in Doveton VIC, thank you, OP,

There is showing one available at Sandown Park (Noble Park), VIC

None of those lagers appeal to me . 12 beers for 20 is a good price though in this day and age !

    • +1

Yup, it’s pretty crazy the price of things. $1.66/beer is not bad presuming they are not awful. I had one tonight and it was nice.

  • +1

Thanks picked up the last one in Cairns

Complaints against 0% are like complaints against vegan or pronouns. Everyone has their views and preferences. I only used to drink full strength beers but have now found a regular spot for drinking 0% beers without feeling guilty of becoming an alcoholic. If you find a personal favorite then it's no different from drinking a full strength beer. Obviously you're not drinking it to get drunk. If you want to do that then go straight for the spirits.

    Ew beers

  • +1

Almost all Woolies private label 'craft' beers.

  • What kind of a world are we living in. It's only January and already Christmas is being advertised.

    • Yeah and especially since the expiry date is early March 2024
