SOYO AMD Radeon RX5700XT 8GB GPU GDDR6 US$152.71/A$233 Shipped @ Factory Direct Collected Store AliExpress

220

Note: Use incognito if price shows up as 218, not sure why that works, but using incognito puts it down to 210

Similar performance as an RTX 3060

This store is an Aliexpress choice store so 10 day shipping

1000+ of these have been sold and 140 out of 186 ratings are 5 stars and 21 ratings are 1 star rating.

SOYO GPU's don't come factory OC. Some suspect it is a refurbished mining card, however the description has no indication of this and therefore it is just a theory.

Have ordered one so I am happy to answer any questions once it arrives.

Mod: title edited to include GST

A few months ago I ordered Soyo RX580 8GB 2048sp cards and they've been flawless. I suspect they were ex mining with a new cooler slapped on. The thermal paste is good and they haven't throttled.

Having 3 DP and 1 HDMI was a big bonus considering most have DVI.

    • thanks gives me some more assurance, is there any thermal issues or anything strange?

    • I have been reading on these Soyo GPUs from ALiExpress. From reviews, it seems that the GPU temps run pretty high around 70degC and at some point runs at 90degC compared to a normal 5700XT card.

      • That's still within the limit of 110 degrees so I wouldn't stress too much. That's always going to be the trade off with going with a brand like this instead of a big brand like Sapphire or whoever.

Worst case you can apply new thermal paste and pads if you need to.

my old 5700xt used to run that hot quite often (dual fan MSI something).

        • That is the same for a lot of amd cards, did you try undervolting and did that help?

        • Can one smell their card cooking at those temps? lolz πŸ˜†

      Soyo recommend?

    • That's exactly what they are. Still good value for a budget gaming rig though.

Buyer beware: Warning about this AliExpress store, I had a faulty item and they would not respond to any messages or communication. Had to go through Paypal (which was a giant hassle in itself) and jump through a tonne of hoops (opening a case, multiple appeals after my case was rejected) even though the seller was clearly in the wrong.

TLDR: Don't expect any sort of warranty on this item.

Funny enough "this store" IS AliExpress.

      • That just makes this entire ordeal even worse….

You said you "messaged the store". If that's true then that was your first mistake because you're supposed to do a dispute in AliExpress.

          • @Clear: Sorry, that's what I meant. I messaged AliExpress (who normally contract the store to provide a response), over the span of nearly 2 weeks they kept promising me a response within 24-48 hours - never happened. Was an incredibly frustrating experience.

            • +1

@ozb88: Even that doesn't sound right for a dispute, as either party has 5 days to respond.

              • +1

@Clear: I've used the dispute function before on a separate order so it was easy to do, however the dispute button wasn't available on this particular order for some reason which is why I suspect there was no incentive for the store to respond.

                • @ozb88: The order was confirmed?

                  • @Clear: Order confirmed, item was delivered to me, and I had confirmed the delivery on their end too.

    • aliexpress appealling system is horrible.
      Had bad experience with them.

    • Had a really bad experience with disputes as well and a huge hassle with both Aliexpress and Paypal. Eventually got Paypal credit on my account instead of a refund after fighting many months. I don’t buy anything from Aliexpress anymore after that.

Yeah nah, get a brandname card from ebay for the same cost, its roughly $240 shipped when you include gst.

    • Same cost? No chance, 270 is what you should expect second hand

I got 2 of these last year. $202 on ebay and $180 on Gumtree. The ebay card would crash, so I returned it for full refund.

Looking at Ebay sold listings they sell between $180 and $280, so you probably have to wait around for a good deal.

100% chance, look at eBay sold history for Jan 24, they range from $200 to $250, most circa $220.

  • I'm getting a page not found.

    • Either a VPN, Starlink or something else blocking your location.

    • Does the same for me but a "Private Page" (Firefox) works. Same as Incognito.

  • works fine for me, wouldnt buy it though

  • Worried if that's ex-mining 5700XT refurbed

    • Will update you when I build and test it tommorow

No signs of physically it being refurb yet

  • Review:

Clean card no real signs of refurbished, no issues with build, looks new

Tried overclocking and undervolting no issues

Was told it would have thermal issues but I have tried running games at max settings, and Fortnite with lumen and haven't gone above
    65 degrees yet

Fans get loud when overclocked but generally gaming and idle there is no issues

Performance is great, more stutters on DX 11 but DX 12 no issues at all, think this is a general and issue though

Let me know if anyone has questions

    • Still going strong? Just ordered one. Thanks OP

  • Nice one OP thanks 😊
