For further info also, they've finally patched these up to include the same QoL features that the consoles have had since launch (Encounter rate, EXP gain toggle, original soundtrack/fonts etc)

Good deal all around, time to finally grab these myself :)

  • Same price roughly on PSN aswell, 86.36

Another 6 for the backlog :(

If only the physical copy was the same price..

Honestly, as much as a fan of FF, I don't see myself playing this. I have already bought a bunch of them from 3 - 15. A bunch of re-mastered. Tired of finding the latest gimmick to get an extra buck? It should come as a free update to players owning previous versions…and being a supporter for them.

    • Yeah these should be much cheaper than 20% off

as much as i would be keen to give FF6 another run just for old times sake..man i just cannot. im not ..strong enough.

      Why not, you spoony bard.

      • hah

mainly not enough time, and too many games on backlog.

just finished resident evil 4 remake and that took like 20 x 30min sessions spread over about 6 weeks…

My original FF6 play on ps1 back in the day was something like 45 hours + and i was still only just on the way to the tower to get Kafka.
Many hours of grinding and back in the day didnt have access to internet easily for access to walkthroughs :(

Ehhh…Plenty more JRPGs I should be replaying. Should give FFT another run through.

    Lol this is outrageous price

      For 6 games?

      • +2

Yeah, 6 approx. 30 year old games.

  • Still expensive for what it is, you can buy other remastered games in a bundle for $50 or less

    • These go above your typical remaster. It's a full visual and audio remake.

      • And other remasters aren't? I remember buying the Spyro trilogy and crash bandicoot remastered, both full visual and audio remake for $49 that's with 3 games on each

  • +1

$5 per game is the right sale price.

    • $30-40 considering not even physical media. Not like this is an entire remake, just a bit of a remaster.

So many good games to play that honestly you should rather spend your time on.. I have played a every single offline final fantasy up to xvi apart from mystic quest. It's my fav series of all time. But new games such as sea of stars or chained echoes are the type of games you should give a crack. If you haven't played them maybe worth a crack. But to rebuy for nostalgia.. we just don't have enough time. There are so many great games out there.
Honestly everyone go play sea of stars.
If you love FF, you would really love this game

    • Added it to my wishlist.

    • I think if someone had to play just one of these, play FFVI. You can buy it separately anyway.

  • I love FF but yeah under $5 a game and I am in otherwise hard pass for now.
    HOOOODL

Now on Switch too for the same price

    • Much prefer getting this on Switch.

I guess steam is OK if you got a Steam Deck or other portable.

      • Late reply but another factor to consider which platform to buy your games on, is how long will the Nintendo Eshop for Switch games last?

We see what Sony did with PS3 games and Nintendo with 3DS/Wii U e-shop.

I can see Switch games E-Shop will available for a while yet but Steam may be a better platform to preserve your digital purhases.

        • That is true.

It sucks everything is going digital. Do people really buy more digital games?

Unless it's super cheap inrpefer physical. I'm sure many physical collectors buy games just to sit in the collection. However, unless free or super cheap people don't just accumulate digital games since you can't show it off.
