[Solved] Looking for Screenshots of T&Cs of The Origin Broadband Offer of 35K Everyday Rewards Points Ended on Nov 28

Hi guys

Hoping someone saved the screenshot and can help me out. I signed up for the 35K Everyday rewards promo with Origin that ended on 28 Nov last year. It's been 3 months and they havent given me the points so I contacted them and it's been another few weeks plus many phone calls and they finally emailed saying I didnt qualify because I already got these points from the similar promo back in May 2023 even though I went away and came back to them as a new customer. Unfortunately I didnt have the screenshots to back up my claims but there was definitely nothing like that in the T&Cs from memory. In fact I found this on the free points website and that didnt have that clause listed either https://freepoints.com.au/origin-internet-35k-everyday-rewar…

Origin has since changed the T&Cs and they emailed me a copy of the new T&Cs here https://www.originenergy.com.au/campaign/everyday-rewards-po… which is not even for broadband customers but for energy customers. I'm planning to fight this but would be great if there were the screenshots of the actual promo's T&Cs. I'm planning to lodge a complaint with the ACCC (or is there another body I should be lodging the complaint instead?)

Thanks all!

  • i found this in a email from april 2023 for an origin internet offer

Sign up online to any Origin nbn™ or Opticomm fibre plan as a new residential customer between 9am EST 18 April and 14 June 2023 (11:59pm EST) ('Offer Period') via the following URl

depends what they define as new, usually they say no returning customers

    • Yep that's the one. Thank you so much!

An Everyday Rewards account may be linked to more than one internet account,
however you will only be eligible to receive one (1) allocation of Everyday Rewards
points in a 12-month period for each internet account.

        I signed up 28 Nov
I already got these points from the similar promo back in May 2023

        • and you got the points the second time?

@macr0hard: You signed up in May 2023 and then 28 November. My elementary maths indicates this is within a single 12 month period, meaning you were not eligible the second time.

            • @Typical16-bitEnjoyer: Got it, sorry thought you were sharing your experience. I’m slow haha, thanks

              • @macr0hard: I had a similar concern, I asked them via chat and they said as long as I wasnt a current customer I could get the benefit from signing up for a new internet account, even though I had previously received points.

                • @drillvoice: lucky you! They basically denied me the points after weeks of so called "investigation" so I gave up and moved on.
