Just noticed a notification on my phone from Meta app, with an offer for a 1 month free trial for 2024. This scheme is somewhat similar to how Xbox Gold used to work with the Games with Gold.

  • Every month, Meta selects two new VR games.
  • You must claim the new VR games each month online, in the headset, or in the Meta Quest app, or the offer will expire at the end of the month. This also means that you can't claim VR games from previous months retroactively.
  • If you claim the VR games every month, your Quest+ game library will grow over time.
  • The VR subscription can be canceled at any time, so you can skip a month if you already own the VR games announced for the next month.
  • If you cancel your subscription, you'll lose access to the VR games you've claimed. If you re-subscribe, you'll regain access to them and be able to claim the VR games that are currently available.
  • This offer runs for the entire year of 2024. If the two games you see this month isn't to your liking, hold off on activating your Free trial.

        Agree. Not a bad idea but bit too much. Had a look at other countries but similar pricing. Not sure how they check if someone moving to other country.

            @Jimothy Wongingtons: Same. Not just 2 games as usually have one already. They should have 3 games which you could keep one even after cancelling. Or if signing up to a year can pick 2 games during the year to keep. Meh I don't know. Too many subs lately.

    Unlike the original Games With Gold, this won't let you keep the licence if you stop your subscription. That was one of the golden features of Xbox Live back in 2013.

    The Meta store suck as the game 'sales' in that store aren't as good as steam sales. No thanks. I would just steam link everything instead.
