Looking for Advice on Changing Plans after Using Bonus Upgrade Credit from Vodafone

I am with Vodafone and I recently "upgraded" my phone (zflip 5 if it matters) along with the associated plan for a whole bunch of bonus credit. The credit is running out now and I've realised that the only plans that are available to me are 49/55/59 per month, depending on how much mobile data I want.

Given the device cost on top of this to inflate the bill, I am wondering if it instead worth just paying off the device and switching to a cheaper plan elsewhere (porting number if possible, am happy to jump off vodafone) as I don't really need the large amount of mobile data that is attached to these plans which I assume it is what makes them so pricey?

Would appreciate any suggestions or advice, thanks

  • We can't tell you what's worth it or not to YOU. Everyone is different.

Calculate the cost and package inclusions amongst a couple options and decide what's right for you.

I do about 2GB a working day, so prefer the large data plans. That doesn't help you as your case is different.

    • yeah I was leaning towards that this wasn't worth the cost to me and was wondering if others had had similar situations of paying off the device to switch plans!

  • Pay out the phone and move to an annual BYO device plan. Aldimobile is $120 per year and unused data rolls over to the next year. I use wifi data at home and work, so only use mobile data walking about and driving.

    • will research annual plans, cheers
