any 32*2 non-rgb 3600MHz cl16/18 cheap ddr4 ram? looking for some for ages

    • We need non RGB low-profile plain looking 3600 ram to fit underneath our Thermalright Peerless Assassin 1.5kg CPU coolers (not /s).

But price wise this is pretty linear pricing all the way from 8gb 3600 to 64gb 3600.

  • I remember Mushkin, it was a well loved brand. I thought it went defunct. Nice to see them still hanging around and trying

  • Is it better / more efficient to have 4x16gb than 2x32gb (assuming you have the slots)?

    • Curious to know as well as i need to upgrade from 32gb to stop stuff from crashing.
      Currently 4 slots 8GB DDR4 = 32GB on x570 + 5950x

    • +1

In my experience, more sticks = lower stability particularly at higher clocks/lower latencies. So 2 is typically better than 4 if you can get the same size/specs for a similar total price.

  • Anyone else when they goto checkout get an increased by ~$10 price?

    Order Summary
    Items: $259.75
    Delivery: $10.94
    Total: $270.69
    Promotion(s) Applied: -$10.94
    Order Total: $259.75

  • Comes up AUD $252 for me, perhaps the promo ended?

  • Would these work OK if you got 2 x 64GB kits? I like the timings on these. If not, what brand/kit would you guys suggest for 3600Mhz kit?

Is it risky to buy two separate kits that haven't been tested to work together compared to a 128GB matched kit?

I am looking to get 128GB for my Asus X570 MB. I currently have a 3900XT in it, but will be upgrading to either 5800X3D or 5900X at some point.

    • Running 128GB (4x32GB) 3600 @ CL16 is close to the edge

Install the Zen 3 CPU first since the updates to the memory controller and AGESA will help with compatibility

Matched kits are always better but for 128GB, only G.Skill had a decent range and both pricing ($750) and timings (3600 @ CL16-22-22-42 1.45V) were off

Either roll the dice with 2 of these Mushkin kits or find 2 of the Crucial Ballistix 2x32GB kits

Micron B-die is a champ with CL16-18-18-38 1.35V timings for both 3200 and 3600, with 3200 usually having no issues hitting 3600

      • Are these Mushkins Micron B-die ?

  • Ordered this on the 3 February 2024

but they still haven't taken payment nor is it near being shipped. anyone else?
