New Router or Mesh System to Boost Internet in House

Hi guys,.
I need some advice.
I have a 5 year old wifi modem. It's been slow and patchy around the house. Should I get a new router or get a mesh system? My current internet is 100/40.

  You're probably going to be able to upgrade to gigabit soon, especially if labour win the next election, which they almost certainly will after the stage 3 tax rework. I'd upgrade the wifi to the mesh system, run cables where you can, and get fibre as soon as you can. Your home should be your oasis and it should have blazing fast internet and networking.

    I have fibre to the premises. I think my modem is old AF and crap. I decided get archer ax55 for the moment

  Why not both! :)

  Get a new mesh router setup for the house.

  What NBN are you on? If FTTC/FTTP/HFC then its pretty easy, if FTTN then apply for the free FTTP upgrade or use your modem in bridge mode.

      Sounds good, you can easily add an EasyMesh extender to that.
