Best Earbuds with Noise Cancelling Voice Microphones

I'm looking for advice on good/best BT wireless headphones with excellent my-side noise cancellations on the Voice microphones.
I want some headphones that do a better job at picking up my spoken voice in noisy environments.

I frequently join work conference calls while travelling on public transport buses (lots of road and engine noise), and I often get complaints that it's very hard to hear what I'm saying on the call.

I currently own a pair of Earfun Air Pro 3 buds as a comparative product.

I have owned several BT headphones at various price points over the years, but I have yet to find any that do a great job at voice-side noise cancellation.

Unfortunately, most reviews completely ignore the voice-side microphone tests in noisy environments, so it's really hard to research products.

Any advice please OzB?

That's just a review site like any other. What's the relevance here please?

    AirPods Pro, without a question.

assuming he has an iphone, yes i can recommend.

        He does not.
I have an unhealthy disdain for Apple's walled garden ecosystem, so I won't personally be buying any Apple products.

Having said that, I'm sure other people are still interested in knowing if an Apple product is suitable for the same use case, so I appreciate the input.

So you are looking for the second best earbuds then.

Good luck with your Android-focused products, m8

        • Yeah I knew that comment would get negged by the Apple fan-bois.
I recognise Apple has some very good products, but, as I said, I won't be buying them.

R-tings has a good breakdown on this. https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/earbuds-phone…

They measure how you sound to others

  • Voyager 5200 or Jabra evolve 65

  • I used to have the Jabra 85T, and repeatedly got told it sounded like I was at the pub when I was in the (open plan) office. Also have many ~$50 Amazon specials, all pretty horrible for voice calls.

Then got Huawei Freebuds Pro from the $99 eBay deal a year or two ago. Use them for voice calls in the office every day, have not had a complaint since.

There are now Freebuds Pro 2, and maybe 3 on the horizon, so I imagine they would be even better.

If you are interested in your side noise cancelling performance, i recommend going through Aaron X Loud and Wiireless channel.

He tests the earphones voice recording in simulated or real cafe environment so you know what is the performance for calls.

But the best noise cancelling for calls is the Airpod Pro. Every other Android earbud seems to be average only.

  • I'm not sure what your budget is but I never got any complaints about my mic quality after switching to the WF-1000XM5's from my old Jabras and Galaxy Pros

  • Do you want buds or over-ears? I've seen call quality tests for both variants of Bose QC Ultra, among others.

    • Buds preferably. I want the portability of a small device.
