HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon - Any Discount Code?

Hi OZB Runners,

I'm looking to sign up to the HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon in May (Sunday 5th May 2024) and early bird prices end on 7th Feb. Before I sign up, thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any discount codes for this event?

The early bird price is currently $135 for Adult which seems quite steep for a half marathon distance (I signed up for Great Ocean Road Ultra last week for $160).

I completed the event last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, so if there is anyone on the fence for this one, I'd highly recommend it.

    Some run clubs may have discounted rates but you need to sign up as a member (with fees).

    You will not get a better offer than the Early Bird.

    The C2S Early Bird last year was $88 (14km) so it would be $132 for 21km, inline with what you have with the Hoka. You really can't compare a race from a different state, but if you really wanted to know .. the UTA50 (Blue Mountains) is $300+

    I have absolutely no intention of running a marathon or even a 1/10th marathon but I think $135 is insanely expensive to enter a marathon.

      The trouble is the costs to run any event. To close a road you need risk assessments, vehicle barriers, traffic marshals, security, insurance and a bunch more.
      I expect Hoka is wearing a fair bit of the overall cost with their sponsorship.
