Acer Nitro Monitor ED270U P2 27" WQHD VA 170Hz Curved Gaming Monitor

Brains Trust. Is the above monitor a good all round monitor, including gaming, video editing and YouTube for $236 plus delivery.

Is there a better choice? Or better place to buy?

Thanks

  • I got this one for $209 - that user review on Centrecom page is mine.
I'm pretty happy with the monitor, but I use it for work only as a second screen.

    • Your review says 144Hz but the monitor is advertised as 170Hz. Can you please confirm which is correct?thanks

      • +1

Yes, it works at 170Hz with DP cable. But I'm using a HDMI cable because it's longer and with my cable the refresh rate is limited to 144Hz.
It's fine because my main monitor is 144Hz too.

        • Cool thanks mate

      • I have an AOC 34" ultra-wide curved as my main screen and one of these Acer 27" curved sitting on the right hand side.

Your comment just made me go and check my display settings, and holy crap - my AOC 34" was set to 60Hz! I just changed it to 144Hz.
The Acer was set to 165Hz and it's now on 170Hz.

I am an infrequent/very casual gamer so can't really comment on the Acer, but thanks for pointing out the info about the refresh rate!

Other than that, I'm really happy with the Acer considering how cheap it was. My kids have one as well on their PC, bought both at the same time.

  • Yes of course
