The demo for upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is out and you can get 2 free DLCs by simply playing it.
Beware the file size is almost 50gb.

Players who have save data from the demo can claim a kupo charm and adventuring items set in the full game.

• Kupo charm: An accessory that increases the number of resource items extracted at a set rate.
• Survival set: A selection of items to aid on your adventure, such as potions and ethers.

Players who complete the Nibelheim episode will be able to skip the same section in the full game.

• Save data needs to be present on the PS5 console.
• The Junon area episode will become playable after an update on 21/02/2024 and can be accessed after completing the Nibelheim episode.
• The Junon area featured in this demo has been altered to make the content more compact, so progress cannot be carried over to the full game.
• Before diving into the full game, be sure you have applied the latest update. This ensures you get the Kupo Charm, Survival Set, and the ability to skip sections covered in the Nibelheim episode demo.

  Great demo. Really keen for the full release. Performance mode is quite blurry at times, looks sub 1080p with upscaling. I don't know if I can deal with 30fps

    You get used to 30fps after a while. I wish the game would switch to it only in cutscenes though, I don't want to compromise those by playing in sub-1080p.

    Which one did you prefer? 4k30fps or 1080p60fps?

      Played through in the Perf mode, the resolution was tolerable but I'm sitting only 2m away. It's definitely sharper than FF16's 720p60fps mode.

        The Grandblue Fantasy 1080p60fps vs 4k30fps is heaven and earth. 100% better in that 1080p60fps mode and as it is an anime, 4k doesn't matter much for that game.

        Final Fantasy however, has much better graphic in 4k but I am finding far more enjoyable playing in 60fps when playing Intergrade.

        That's why I want to know if things have improved since.

          @burningrage: Damn.. bit surprised that perf mode is such low resolution.

          I thought FFVII Remake PS5 version looked really good in the 1600p 60fps mode. Would have been happy if Square retained the same gfx level in Rebirth and maintained this performance.

    performance looks absolutely horrid, as much as I hate 30fps, I just cant stand how subpar performance mode looks compared to the FF7 remake.

        well you did get a save file that can be carried over and a special mode 'Eikonic Challenge' after completing the demo.

    Yeah, usually all the freebies you get from Pre-orders or DLCs get replaced pretty quickly in the game. Not really missing out on much tbh
