Hospital Visits with Dogs/Animals, and Kind Strangers ?

Hello, I have a relative stuck in hospital; for months at least - in Brisbane (40's/woman).

They have a pretty full on mental illness and can be a real nightmare to try to talk to (can be endlessly violent/angry/difficult etc).
They don't have many people to visit them, and they are literally not allowed to leave the building without someone accompanying them. Even then, they can only walk around the grounds/garden - and can't leave the property.

For someone with that kind of illness, being trapped in a dark, tiny room, mostly all alone, 24/7 - is just about the worst place/scenario that they could be in for their recovery.

I'm wondering if anyone's ever heard of any free/paid services/charities/volunteers etc - where you can book someone to bring a dog/animal etc to hospital to visit with them to cheer them up? Or maybe rent/borrow a dog/animal, and do it myself (I have no pets)? Of course, I'd have to check with the hospital if this is allowed etc. If not inside, maybe outside?

My first thoughts were to place an ad if I can't find a service… on Gumtree, FB, where else? Even more of a long shot, I'm wondering if it's worth attempting to place an ad for some kind, fearless stranger (nearby), to come and visit with her regularly. So that they could take her out to the garden for a while, and chat etc. I'd tell them the truth about their behaviour etc, but that will clearly make it a lot more difficult to find someone? Same questions for that idea - where to post ads, know of any groups, charities etc?

Any other ideas as to what I can do to help cheer them up (as I can't get there much), would be appreciated.
I'm not rich, but I can spend some money where it's worthwhile.

Thank you for your help

Please don’t. If they don’t grew up with pet and have a history of violent, there is more likely the pet being hurt than help.

My first thought is home and community or disability suppport worker agencies. As you probably know they will have limited availability and flexibility and can be quite expensive. An independent care worker might be your best bet.
