Buying TV from GraysOnline

Does any one have any experiences buying from TVs GraysOnline. Their prices seems to be very low compared to RRP for the Refurbished / Seconds, Usually with 1 to 3 months warranty; though the descriptions are not very detailed. Also noticed they have some new TVs for sale as well.

  • Yes, we bought a Sony 55" KDL-55HX800 in an auction for $2000 in January 2011 and it was delivered promptly without any issues. The only thing which is irritating with Grays is that they charge 15" buyers premium and also a small amount for delivery. In these times, nobody pays anythng like these like we used in a traditional on-site auction. Grays still behaves like they are a brick and mortar outfit.

But the prices were very attractive and included a 1-year warranty for a 2nd item.

  • Yup, bought a Sharp TV about 3 years ago at half price. Still use it and haven't had any problems.

  • Bought one from Grays and I had to go through a lot of troubles claiming warrenty service. TV prices are down so much that it is not worth buying from Grays any more. The allup cost including a high delivery fees is not much cheaper than a new one and it is just not worth it.
All big stores advertise 10-15% discount at times and that the time to buy.
Besides you are getting the current model and local warrenty service if needed.
