I got one of those prepaid cards from Woolworths. It has about $5 on it. I want to get that $5 into cash.
How do I do that? I assume I can ask the local petrol station and ask for a withdrawal?
Sorry for the silly question. I never used a credit card, ever. I use cash only.

Say if I wanted to buy a other one of these cards can I pay the $2.99 fee and then put $2 from the old card plus cash on the new card I'm buying?
Can't be done unfortunately — cash out (eg Savings) isn't supported on said cards). I've tried to do the same for myself recently and ended up needing to just spend the money — when they put the money onto a prepaid credit card it's considered a "cash out" transaction if you pay by card. Hence, no good.
If you really want to keep the money on some form of card, then you could buy a Wish (or other) gift card — buying those cards is a straight purchase.
Else, do what's mentioned above and get milk/bread/etc.

Just go with this plan. If you only ever use cash, you can pay for your purchase with the card and pay the balance in cash anyway. Effectively you will have converted it to cash without any hassle.
Can't you just go to the counter and ask to get cash out using eftpos?

Don't think you can. Besides, its $5. Just go buy some bread and milk or something.
