Refurbished Laptop Resellers

I feel like there suddenly seems to be a lot of ‘Refurbished resellers’

Are there any that are better than others?

Or must trustworthy when it comes to battery percentage.

I’m happy to get a refurbished touchscreen laptop, but don’t know who to trust.

I've bought 4 refurbs laptops now - from Australian Computer Traders and Max Trading Group. I've also bought 2 USFF systems from Metrocom.

Checking battery health, they've all exceeded what was listed, however, this may just have been luck of the draw.

    • I bought a Dell Laptop from Max Computer Trading (MaxDirect) and was happy with the product and battery life. :+)

I've used Australian Computer Traders many times without issues…

I got a surface pro 6 recently and it looked brand new, including the keyboard and battery… I think it cost me around $300.

    • You using the keyboard now? Asterisk key not working?

Conserving it due to power outages…

  • We use Australian Computer Traders for work - we've bought 10+ Laptops from there (usually Dell only) as our IT department knows more about Dell than any other brand.

    • Which Dell models do you/they usually go for?

      • All I can say is that my work laptop is 10th gen Intel with 16gb RAM

I have bought a couple of refurb's for friend's kids who need them for school. Considering they have high end specs from a few years ago, they work fine for school work and the parents have less anxiety about their kid taking a $1000 computer to school because I got it for $250.

Looks like ACT is a trustworthy and good way to go. All are hit and misses, but looks like more hits!

Now to wait for a good deal.

    Thanks everyone!
