    I’m really keen to try this game out and the fanatical loot box might just be enough to get me over the line.

    The thing holding me back is how there are still lots of multiplayer / server issues. For a predominantly multiplayer game, that seems like a deal breaker until they can fix it.

      For what it's worth I've been playing since Day 1 and haven't had a single issue. The game is absolutely fantastic. (I've got about 12hours total playtime now)

    Already have 41 hours in this game. Yes the multiplayer is 'buggy', but nothing i can't live with.

    If buying, turn crossplay off and it'll be able to find multiplayer games. If left on, you'll constantly have failed attempts to connect to other.

    Don't have mates to play with which seems like the fun part so I'll pass for now I think

      I don't play with mates but the solo experience is great, but it's also easy as can be to join another squad or leave your game open to have others join. Also I've found that no one uses mics anyway - and you don't even need to, the UI and the way the game works accommodates really well for no voice communication

        I've found the teaming up with randos experience quite ordinary (though I'll admit I've not played as much as I might have wanted yet). Usual stuff too. Teamkilling you or their friends laughingly wasting reinforcement tickets, running off in the opposite direction and doing their own thing, etc.

        I had one guy who I accidentally TKed because he Leroy Jenkinsed onto one of my grenades, who then proceeded to TK me like seven times 'for killing him' before I gave up and went to make a sandwich.

        I think it'll be decent once it settles down into the people who actually really love the game, but there's a lot of water to go under that bridge yet.

    I'm really not clear on what the Super Citizen version gives you. Some bits of gear and.. what? I assume a warbond is in-game currency, but Super Citizen Status isn't explained at all.

      super citizen is just a title beside your name, and the premium warbond is basically a paid battle pass.

      tl;dr you get some cosmetics and can speed up earning equipment, but you can unlock it all just by playing the game so there's nothing you're missing out on.

      It's a little confusing, what they call a warbond is what most games call a battlepass.
      The main differences are that warbonds are your primary method of unlocking new weapons and equipment, and unlike battlepasses they never expire.
      While playing the game you earn medals, which are the currency you use to unlock things in the warbond.
      There's a 'free' warbond which is unlocked for everyone, and (currently) a single premium warbond which you can unlock either by buying the super citizen version or by spending premium currency. To get premium currency you can either pay real money or earn it by playing the game.
      Anecdotally, I earned enough premium currency to buy the premium warbond after about 20 hours of gameplay.

      The key takeaway is that you can earn everything gameplay related (i.e. excluding cosmetics and titles) just by playing the game, spending money only speeds it up (and even then unlocking the premium warbond only allows you to spend medals in it, you still need to play the game to earn those)

    Absolutely fantastic game. They really followed up the first one and knocked this out of the park. Yes there are lil things to iron out still but some of the small glitches are part of the ridiculous fun. Play with a party of 4 and let the chaos ensue!
