Recommendation for Co-Working Spaces in The Vicinity of Melbourne CBD

Hi,

I am looking for recommendations for a co-working space that's in the vicinity of Melbourne CBD.

More specifically, I am looking for either a dedicated desk or a small private office with a price tag of <$800/month (which is pretty low, I know).

A few things I prioritize are:
- No 1 priority is a silent space. I cannot work with headphones / in-ears all day long, but I also find it difficult to focus with people talking for longer periods of time. Any space that strongly encourages people to have discussions, take calls etc outside a shared working area would be great. The alternative is a small private office but my employer's price limit on this is $800.
- less corporate feel and more fresh/funky
- would prefer a crowd that is IT heavy to connect/network
- decent public transport option from Collingwood

I'd appreciate any recommendations!

Thanks.

CoWork me might be an ok option. It's StKilda but you can just take the bus straight down Hoddle (which means it'll take somewhere between 15 minutes and 2 weeks to get there, depending on time of day).

They do single person pods is why I recommend it, most other places I've seen tend to be a 2 person office (thus when they say "starts at $600 a month" it really means $1,200).

Worth just calling around though, places like Space&Co have a bunch of offices and charge different amounts for each individual office. It's hard to get a good read on the entire market without calling them.

FYI, I've worked in a couple of these spaces, no one talks to each other beyond the odd hello. I don't think they're great networking spaces, although I've never been in a dedicated IT one.

No 1 priority is a silent space.

Hard to find on campus. If you do find one chances are it won't be quiet for long.

The Hive abbotsford. I think they are running special this month. They are only recently opened too. Look quiet when i pass by every morning. Doesn't look funky though

Flex. It's located in Clarke St, Melbourne. Close to public transport. Variety of co working spaces, 24hr access to gym, yoga facilities, premium building and office fit outs, well stocked with snacks/drinks/breakfast/coffee, events for members, funky and fresh feel and management go above and beyond. Check out their reviews you won't be disappointed.
