Product InfoReviewDeliveryReturns
As the 1906R settles into the New Balance range, it begins to receive colourways that are stepping further away from the path laid out by the OG. Because the 1906 was so short-lived, we never got to see many different versions so over a decade later it's fun to see what might have been.__This decidedly wild version takes the early-2000s aesthetic and cranks it up to eleven with enough neon and silver to get back to the future. Certainly not one for shrinking violets, the combination of volt yellow and silver is only tamed by the liberal inclusion of black.

Your honour, I would like to dispute the assertion that the early 2000s had an aesthetic….
    Good bargain though

Early 2000s had much greater aesthetics than today's shoes.

I don't know much about shoes, but I love the early 2000s, aesthetics, music, movies and all <3

      • Royal elastics were cool.

    • Ken Block, DC Shoes aesthetic, checking in (and out)

1906 is the ultimate summer beater. Ultra comfortable, ultra breathable.

That is the ugliest effing shoe I've ever seen

OMG those New Balances look cheap and nasty

    • You're tripping

New Balance is kind of like TNs for dads, at least if you ran fast enough no one would see you in them?

    • So you dont like TN and New Balances, but how is NB like 'TN for dads' lmfao

These OzB youngin's don't know about the 50% off storewide sales back in the day lol. New Balance got to be OzB most purchased shoe brand by far

Not sure why you got so many downvotes. I have never seen anyone who's considered young and trendy wear NB. There must be a lot of fathers on here who've taken offence to your comment LOL.

      • Either that or the second part, some people here seem to think the shoe is the bees knees of fashion. Also I thought those dad's who buy NBs proudly stood behind the brand as being the dad brand but maybe I'm wrong. The dad comment wasn't a jab but the 2nd part definitely was, there are some NBs I'd wear, just not these ones.

      • You don’t know sneakers. The new collaborations that NB have done with Joe Freshgoods, Kith and JJJJound are some of the most desirable (and expensive) sneakers released lately.

Not to mention Teddy Santis from Aime Leon Dore doing the Made line these days.

NBs easily have more hype in the sneaker community over the last year than anything except Travis Scott Nike’s.

        • Not as exciting or expensive as the MSCHF red boots though, they could slap Taylor Swifts name and rebrand a normal pair of Crocs call it limited edition and they'd sell for $1000s to sneakerheads. They aren't desirable or expensive because of how they look or the quality, just the hype surrounding them artificially boosting the value to a niche community but not to the general public. Obviously this applies for a lot of niches not just sneakers. Take Kanye's Pods that were selling for $200 and had sold out for example, he is now refunding everyone the $180 when they realized they're actually only worth $20. He kind of pointed out the idiocracy of his own fans and sneakerheads in general by doing so.

          • @lookingforadeal7: Exactly. I’m completely content not “knowing sneakers” if NB are considered desirable.

            • @[Deactivated]: The sneakerhead rabbit hole is quite interesting, when I've been aware of certain drops I've tried my hand and been successful in reselling a few pairs but realistically not worth the effort as you're against bots or people purchasing a whole store worth of stock before they even hit the shelves because they know people who work there. Also 90% of the sneaker market are just resellers not so many collectors, so realistically it's resellers reselling to resellers to resell to collectors lol.

              • @lookingforadeal7: How fascinating, thanks for the insight. It’s something I’ve never really comprehended to be honest. People camping outside like it’s the next iPhone.

                • @[Deactivated]: I dont know what is more idiotic, camping for sneakers or camping for iphone?
I'm guessing sneakers have more value since they're limited releases while you will be able to get an iphone in a month no problem lol

        • Also I do like some NBs, their NB 480s basically look like a cross between Nike and DC skater type shoes. The big N kind of ruins them for me a little but I like the general style of the shoe.

  • Only size 8 available or just not loading right for me?
