Anyone with thoughts on CT polos vs super dry or rodd and gunn at the circa $50 mark?

And all I could see was 4 polos or shirts for 299?

    • +1

I am very happy with my rodd and gunn polos, its always nice that you can pop in at your local myer and try them on.
Superdry is also nice but more casual for me

    • Wonder if its targeted or for new customers only?(I haven't bought from CT before). first saw from FB and added the link to description. Again it may not be all public.

      • I recently bought through the same offer and contacted them via chat. The chat will than generate a link with the special offer for you.

I'm pretty happy with the shirts thus far. Good cut, not too short, light and breathable material without feeling thin and cheap.

where is this price? i can only see 4 for $299

    • Wonder if its targeted or for new customers only?(I haven't bought from CT before). first saw from FB and added the link to description. Again it may not be all public.

      • Good chance the price you have quoted is in USD. As multiple comments have stated, based on the Australian CT website the best deal is 4 for $299.

        • I bought 3 shirts from this offer and can confirm its AUD. The image I uploaded is from the au site

          • @eaddd87: I see that you can get the prices from the facebook marketing link - but your actual post links directly to the CT Aus website which doesn't have the same deal (hence the comments from others). I suggest you change the link to your FB one.

            • @ozburn: Thanks for the suggestion, i messaged to the mods since it won't let me do it.

              • @eaddd87: I tired earlier and it wouldn’t work. Tried changing to different countries but nothing. Changed to USD and closed the tab, then tried once more it asked me to change to AUD and then it took me to the home page with the deal and I had 3 shirts in my cart for $45 each. Weird

                • @choofa: It seems like that for most. For me it was fairly straightforward and hence thought to post here.

@eaddd87: Thanks. I needed some decent shirts now that I have to go into work 3 days a week :(

My old shirts were in such poor condition having not been updated in about 5 years

Still waiting for 3 for $99.
Might have to wait a bit longer……

    • Was gunna say isn’t it $99 for 3.
At this price (3 for ~$150) I’d rather pay for made to measure shirts for about $60-$75 per shirt
Wearing a CT today for first time in a long time and they do not fit that well for tall slim build (6ft2, 83kg)

      • Where do you get made to measure?

        • Pickashirt
I had a custom shirt from a tailor, which I then used as the base for my measurements and I’ve had a few runs of shirts from them and always a great fit. No ballooning or excess shirt around the middle etc.
be mindful how you wash and care for your shirts though, MiL washed them on 60deg and then put them in the dryer and one batch shrunk.

    • Hasn't been 3 for $99 for years… I think since covid.

I fear it will never be $99 again.

    • +1

those days are over my friend. It's time to accept this

    • Don't think it's coming back, inflation and stuff.

  • +1

All I want is free shipping. They used to have a code for students to get that 10% off + free shipping

    • Student beans has 10% off
But appears to exclude sales and clearance
Also states expires Dec 2023… :/

Checkout with above deal states code can't be used
Checkout using RRP states code can't be added right now (tried finding a loophole but SB code seems to be duds)

Pricing in this site jumps in and of discount and RRP when changing tabs etc.

      • Pricing is based on how you link in

        3 for $135 FB link shows $45/ea
        + $19.95 delivery / free over $200.
        Additional shirts/polo add @ $45/ea.
So buying 5 @ $225 delivered is best value

        Alternatively;
        Google search results in $49/shirt/polo
(No min requirement but delivery per above)

Direct link or SB triggers 4 for $199.80 + free shipping ($49.95/ea.) Based on 4

Deal is targeted advertising, so if you're a male in Australia, web searching or even talking about business shirts out loud will likely trigger add which links in deal.

Oh man I thought these guys went out of business, they were my go to for business shirts, barely wear them these days though haha

  • How do these compare to mj bale dry and fly

    • +1

With CT, for me, it depends on the individual shirt. A couple of CT long sleeve shirts have felt baloony and others perfectly tapered.

I've only got one MJ Bale dry & fly but it seems as good as the best of my CT no iron shirts.

      • Thanks mate.

  • Just bought 5 for $225 with free shipping.

    • Code required?

      • +1

No just added 5 to cart after clicking facebook ad.

  • I'm unsure of the fit coming from TM Lewin to CT, does anyone have experience with returns? Do they provide a return shipping label or how much does the return to the UK cost?

    • I'm the same. But I've seen in their website something like a 6 month returnable guarantee so hoping they stay true to it. Still waiting for the delivery though (dispatched from Uk)
      http://ctshirts-aus.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/522…

      • Id be sad to drop $200 on shirts that don't fit and no return option.

I asked chat and this was a very confusing reply:

Q: Thanks, I have read that but I wanted to know if CT provides shipping labels for interntional returns/exchanges?
CT: Not for International returns but you would have a free label within our Rebound website which is not on our international website.

        • Intersting. I'm yet to receive my order and hope i dont have to take this path. Upon googling it looks like reBOUND is a third party company engaged by CT to handle the returns and exchanges. In the bottom of CT return page i shared earlier it says "* We will deduct $9.95 from your return credit to cover return delivery costs, however exchanges are always free of charge."
Seems reasonable to me, but again only if they stick to it.

          • @eaddd87: Mate, did you receive your order yet? How's the fit? I've ordered a couple extra slim business shirts and a couple button downs in extra slim as well, hoping for the best.

    • Well I'm kinda disappointed coming from TM Lewin fitted to Charles T extra slim.

First, I compared the sizing from the respective websites and the CT shirts should be slightly slimmer than TM but that doesn't seem to be the case when comparing them in person.

Besides the material quality being better at TM, the workmanship is undoubtedly remarkably better at TM.
Eg, CT extra slim seems to be a regular shirt that has had back darts added. Over at TM they have used a separate outline - cut and sewn - specifically for the fitted sizes.
Less obvious but noticable is TM fitted have an hourglass silhouette, the waist is slightly slimmer by maybe an inch and the hips are less flared.
Also the TM fitted have a tapered sleeve so the forearm isn't so baggy, the CT extra slim has baggy sleeves in comparison.

The CT extra slim also has this weird bunch and hang at the back, too much material gathering by the lats inline with the arm pit. I think this is because of the darts and the baggy sleeves. It doesn't look neat.

However, the extra slim CT casual shirts seem nice, I got the oxford button downs in extra slim and besides the short sleeves (no sleev length options) they don't have unusual issues like the formal shirts.

  • What’s the best way to find your fit for these shirts? Any stores we can try on?

    • +1

A reddit post suggested they run a little large so go a size down. If you want a traditional slim, go a super slim.

  • what? you're kidding, just ended when I was just about to checkout.
