Looks like NAB is back in the market with another cash back deal. $50 is $50 in my books.

From memory it requires a credit check, can anybody confirm?

    • +1

It appears to be the same as Zip and Afterpay, both of which do not show up on credit reports. But if you dont make a payment that was agreed, you may get into trouble, and can show up negatively on a credit report.

Edit: Ok it seems like they may do a credit check, but im sure this was the same as the other alternatives.

NAB Now Pay Later shows up as a BNPL service on Equifax, similar to a revolving Credit Card on your credit report.

        • +1

Wow, thanks, have not seen these on other credit reports, will check out Equifax.

    To be clear.

"Earn $50 cashback with NAB Now Pay Later

Spend $400 on four purchases of at least $100 each in the first 30 days of your account opening to earn $50 cashback."

      Thanks for the clarification.

Remember to close this facility when going for a home loan

    • +1

      Same for Afterpay?

      • +1

What evidence? Have you been for a home loan before? The base algorithm looks are your current borrowing limits (eg credit cards, other loan facilities, BNPL) and offsets it from your borrowing capacity.

        • Why yes, I have applied for a home loan before, and was successful, but I concede this was some time ago, before life was controlled by algorithms. Please accept my apologies, I will delete the offending comment.

I gather you dont participate in the BOOST SIMs or any cashback CR or SB deals then?
What is the point right chump change.

Ive made $800 from all those BOOST SIMs, but I guess that's chump change to you. Better enjoy your 1300k PA life in Turkey

          • @Turd: How long did that take you?

            • +1

              @patso: 3 months?

Not much compared to day traders eh

So you've got something better to post that's not "chump change" right?

Is your nab bank balance $2.44 Turd?

      • Yep lol

        No point having money there.

How do I get more? Add more funds to the balance?

        • Yes, $250 will get you $1000 BNPL to use.

          • @Crownanchor: ahh cool will dump some money in there

            • @Turd: Im not sure how the $2000 works, as i seem to have $1000, maybe over time this increases, which happened on another BNPL i think.

  • +1

just received the $50 for my Nov registration.

  • Can I do one $400 purchase which is paid off over 4 periods or does it have to be 4 transactions of $100 each?

    • It clearly says:

"Spend $400 on four purchases of at least $100 each in the first 30 days of your account opening to earn $50 cashback."

  • Anyone else getting screwed by NAB for this deal? They say it never existed and i can't bring it up to show it did. Signed up on 20/2 and used on the 7/3.

    • The deal page is here, although this promo expired, it has the same terms and conditions.
      https://web.archive.org/web/20231209211059/https://www.nab.c…
The deal for the February promo is not available.

It would be interesting to know who you spoke to about this deal. Often staff do not know about what deals are available, and hopefully its this, and not a false promo.

Also, the OP for this deal is a new user and a NAB associate, and may not be on ozbargain anymore with the sickpuppeting of the current promo for nab now pay later.
