[NSW] 33% off Tyres @ mycar Chatswood Chase

380

Might be useful for those who can’t wait until the annual 50% off Pirelli on Black Friday as this could be the best offer available at the moment. Definitely better than some “buy 3 get 4” or cashback offers from the likes of Jax, Bob Jane etc. Also it’s handy if you don’t need to replace 4 tyres.

Other than Pirelli, the discount is also applicable for other brands stocked by mycar like Continental and Kumho.

T&C
Offer is subject to availability, for tyres in stock and fitted at Chatswood Chase store between 21 January 2024 and 02 March 2024. Offer not available with any other offer or promotion. Fleet, government and wholesale customers excluded from offer.

  • Are they good tyres: PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE ALL SEASON ?

    • +3

I put the Pirelle Scorpion ATR through a lot of punishment offroad, and in snow/fires and only just had one blow (staked with a branch offroad) after 6 years of use. I was extremely impressed with them.

      • +2

Loved the Scorpion ATR plus for its low noise, grip in the wet and off-road despite lacking an aggressive tread pattern.
        Not many reviews on them

Thanks, guys.. pulled the plug … but from Tyroola :)

            @jughead101: *edit.
Just realized I may have provided some irrelevant information on the specific model of tyre. I've only read about the Verde on forums.

Don't know why you got downvoted, seems a genuine question.

I bought when MyCar had their annual 50% off. Took it offroad a couple of times, very good tyres. Didn't do any extreme rock climbing, however beach runs are straight forward.

What I liked the most is the quietness compared to other aggressive looking ATR (i.e. BFG A/T)

  • would other mycar stores price match?

    • I don’t think so as this is new store offer

  • FYI they (all mycar stores) also price beat tyres so check www.tempetyres.com.au as i found them cheaper even after the 33% off !

    • Even from different atate ?

      • Looks like t&c says within 30km, so no.

Just went to local mycar and they said the same thing.

Tempe tyres are cheap for a reason. Their tyres are grey imports so that includes any rejects either for quality or age from overseas markets are rounded up and shipped in by the container load. Bought from them once and never again. Poor customer service and dodgy quality tyres. At least MyCar has free tyre rotation and 12 months road damage warranty.

Check manufacture dates before buying from Tempe. Trust me when I say this that there is a difference in quality. Two months into a new set of tyres from Tempe, I potholed one and replaced it with the exact same tyre from mycar. Two years on, it looked in much better condition than the other three before I sold the car. You've been warned.
On the contrary, mycar have been great! Their warranty, free puncture repairs etc - top notch. The fella even told me they would've replaced the potholed tyre for free had I purchased the set from them but alas.

  • how do you get the discount? I put in another store then changed it to Chatswood but the pricing remained the same.

Open the link in this post, scroll down a bit, click on “Search and buy tyres”.

  • Could you get the tyre fitted at the Chatswood Chase store, but go to another mycar store for the 12 month wheel rotation or free puncture repair?

    • Actually, I believe I found the answer. You can go to any store.

    • +1

Any Mycar will do that for you.
