For those of us that like to retain more water. Creatine, caffeine, protein; the three magic supplements.

Was having a look around for some cheap creatine monohydrate after reading about creatine HCL and found this one on Amazon.

According to Camelcamelcamel, it's the lowest price ever. Plus, it gave me free delivery and i'm not a Prime member. $40 delivered for a kg is a good deal, seeing as it's usually $22 for 250g at Woolies or $47 plus delivery from Amino Z.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.

          • @Wolfenstein98k: That's a massive read! omg ..

The main bit i saw … Creatine could cause hair loss … !!! :/

            Yeah .. no thanks

            • @CereaL: Lol, good troll.

              Just Ctrl+F for "load".

As for hair loss, there's no causal evidence at all.

              • @Wolfenstein98k: I actually did read through most of it … like I said .. .massive read !

I was actually somewhat keen given all the other properties and info in the document .. until I got to the hairloss bit ..

Several previous studies have evaluated the effects of creatine on testosterone levels, with the majority finding no significant effect. While this study also found no effect on testosterone, a significant increase in dihydrotestosterone (DHT) was observed. This is notable, because DHT is known to play a very direct role in male hair loss.

There is certainly no reason to believe that creatine would cause hair loss in individuals who are not genetically predisposed to hair loss.

^— I keep giving my Dad crap for hair loss … I rather not accelerate mine ;)

Having said that .. I did like the bit about how it can be good for bones … as well as the brain … and how the brain has 5% creatine as part of it ..

                Some very interesting figures ..

            • @CereaL: might be OK if you can pull off the vin diesel look…
