Plus delivery for me hence its more than the $300 mark

      • Wonder if you can just ignore the delivery cost and claim the cost of monitor for tax purposes 🤷‍♂️

        Any tax accountants out there?

ATO website says the asset cost includes delivery.

The cost of an asset is generally what you pay for it (the purchase price), and other expenses you incur to buy it – for example, delivery costs.

Not an accountant but can't you just claim percentage that's for work only and just conveniently make it so that the % you use it for work is under $300?

      • Umart have it at same price.

          Does Officework have this item?

        • seem like delivered only - no stock in most stores

      • As far as I know, under $300 is just for small items that sometimes didn't require receipt. And if you are wfh, monitor is part of work related (I forgot the name, but it is not small items under $300) that you can claim tax deduction even if the price above $300. I used to claim 2 monitors that each $500 back in 2020.
Btw I paid $79 for tax accountant each end of financial year, if thats matter. Just give them all receipts that you collect all year, they will tell you which one claimable and which one not. Most of the time they will try to fit all receipts to get max return.

Any anecdotal experience with this monitor or is there any that are considered significantly better (even if ~$100 more expensive)?

  • don't this have terrible ghosting issues? definitely not suitable for any serious gaming?

    • +3

I'm a serious gamer and I game on this monitor. It's definitely suitable for serious gamers.

      • what games do you play?

  • Monitor includes a free 55TB hard drive??? Bargain

      • I think he's referring to the model number

  • Really cheap but yes it does have bad black smearing, probably won't be an issue considering the price for most people though

  • FYI I have recently had a super awful experience with Samsung totally ripping me off and was looking at scamsung monitors until their horrible treatment turned me off Samsung for life so….

Dell has great customer service sooo…

I just got the dell ultrawide 34 Curved Gaming Monitor – S3422DWG for Total (AUD):
$464.44 after asking the chat for a discount. He asked IF i was a student or a business employee. And he organised a 7% discount using my busines email.

    • Not suggesting in any way computer alliance will treat you bad but Samscum has wasted weeks of my life and ripped me so off badly in the last month. I feel the need to share how awful Samsung online is to a previously extremely loyal customer..

  • Seriously, is this good for business use? Good price for QHD.
