NAB Rewards Platinum Card with Velocity — 80k Velocity auto redemption offer T&C

Offer commenced on 16 February 2024 and ends on 31 July 2024. To be eligible for the up to 80,000 Velocity bonus Points offer (automatically redeemed from 160,000 NAB Rewards Bonus Points), you must be a Velocity Frequent Flyer member, apply for a new personal NAB Rewards Platinum Credit Card before the offer is withdrawn, have your application approved, provide your Velocity membership number to NAB to enrol in Auto Redemption, spend $1,000 on everyday purchases using your new card within 60 days of opening account and keep you card for over 12 months. You’ll receive an email from NAB after your application has been approved with information on how to provide your Velocity membership number to NAB. Redemption of Velocity Points and the Velocity membership is subject to the Velocity membership Terms and Conditions.

Points will be awarded on a tiered basis – You will be eligible to receive 120,000 NAB Rewards Bonus Points when you spend $1,000 on everyday purchases in the first 60 days of opening your account (credited to your NAB Rewards points balance within 3 months of meeting the spend criteria, and will be automatically redeemed for 60,000 Velocity Points within 10 days thereafter and 40,000 NAB Rewards Bonus Points after you have had your card for over 12 months (credited to your NAB Rewards points balance within the 13th month and will be automatically redeemed for 20,000 Velocity Points within 10 days thereafter). The name of the cardholder must match the name on the Velocity membership number. Offer limited to one total allocation of 160,000 NAB Rewards Bonus Points per Velocity account.

This offer is not available to existing NAB Rewards Signature or NAB Rewards Platinum Credit Card customers or customers who have had a NAB Rewards Signature or NAB Rewards Platinum Credit Card within 18 months prior to applying for a new NAB Rewards Platinum Credit Card. Offer is not available when closing or transferring from another NAB credit card account or in conjunction with any other NAB credit card offer.

A reduced annual card fee of $95 will be charged when the card is opened and applies for the first 12 months. You will be charged the standard $195 annual card fee in the 13th month of your card account.

    This is really a good deal. Was my first credit card but got approved after sending payslips. THe original card never came so I had to ask customer service to send a new one.

    I didn't convert to frequent flyer points and just converted to 600 dollars worth of AIRBNB gift cards.

    Newbie here and confused, can someone please clarify is it 120000 Nab point + 60,000 Velocity Points or just one of them ?

    Look like just one of them ? so if I'm after the giftcard will be best go for nab point which worth $550 and -$95 total value = $455?

      Its only one of them.

      If you supply them your Velocity number, they will autoconvert 120,000 points into 60,000 Velocity (2:1 conversion ratio).

      However you could also hold onto the 120,000 points until a 15 or 20% bonus comes up (usually every May and November), convert then, and get a bit more than 60k out of it.

    I got this one as my main card, maybe 5 years now. I was able to have the annual fee waived for life. I remember keeping it for a year then called to ask if the annual fee can be waived. The agent nicely waived it and told me no annual fee will be charged in the future.

      I recently got this card. In my case, the customer rep kindly refunded the $95 annual fee.

    PSA: Be very careful if you have an old profile and they are re-using it to make the next card. Auto redemption was setup for flybuys from my last card and was carrying forward. So it auto redeemed my first set of points into flybuys. Fortunately caught it now before the bonus points hit…

    my first time getting a credit card that has a points offer. I applied with the email NAB sent me and have received the digital cc which I intend to start using while waiting on the physical card. Do I have to "opt in" to jump start the points offer or just spend $1k in the next 60 days. sorry for the stupid question.

      You already opt-in once you applied for this. Can go spending as much you like.

      No need to opt in but I just checked using live chat. Once the application is approved, we can add the card to Apple or Google Pay and pay in person or at sites that support paying via these options, but we won't be able to see card details and CVC which are usually needed for online purchase.

    Just applied, took about 10 mins to fill in everything. Some information pre filled given NAB is my main bank on everyday spending. Conditionally approved then formally approved within 2 minutes.

    Question - where do we provide our Velocity number after approval?

    I've received my points associated with my purchase but not the bonus points yet. How long has it taken to receive the bonus points - looks like it is before the first statement but keen to know how many days. Thanks.

    It may be worth signing up for the American Express Velocity Platinum card instead (120k VFF pts + return domestic flight inclusion) for $375 ($3k spend in 3mo) instead.
