These aren't the ones with the leather upper but with a felt lined synthetic upper that looks leather (Birko-Flor). While they don't last and weather as well as the leather ones they have no breaking in period and are far more comfortable from the get go.

I have both and prefer the Birko-Flor because it is far more comfortable.

    • Is birko-flor a new thing? I’m a birks fiend and never heard of this!

      • It's just a marketing name for their synthetic uppers. They've been using it for many years. From the Birkenstock website:

Birko-Flor® is a skin-friendly, tear-resistant and easy-care synthetic material which is used exclusively by BIRKENSTOCK.

        • Sort of unrelated but does anyone know where they source their cork from? I'm wondering if Portugal still has market share on exported cork.. 😅 I purchaed those Pokemon Wallabies in black after missing out on the yellow ones. Apparently they're made in Portugal! Would actually love to know which companies import Portuguese materials.

            @WasBargain: from the Birkenstock website

The majority of the cork processed by BIRKENSTOCK comes from southern Portugal. The country, situated in the western part of the Iberian peninsula, is the world's most important exporter of raw cork.

            • @Ryan-H: Awesome! Thanks bro! They get a shoutout and everything.

    • what CB was it, shop/rewards? or is it over and i missed it :/ ,thanks in advance

  • Interesting.. Having never never had a pair, the actually seem pretty good for the feet, for an open toe shoe. Probably not as good as running shoes but much better than Havaianas lol. Ordered some, not sure why summer is almost over. Nice to have a slip on that's reasonably comfortable at least.

$119 on mydeal $6.95 shipping (and noticed a banner Save an extra $10* when you spend $75+),
    or $10 off first order.
or $10 off next order if you download the app.
    All sizes, collect ER points.
All seems like a better deal to me.

Black ones only $69 in size 45, 46

Glad they aren't leather, would be hot, heavy things. Should be true to size apparently.

    • If you pick the regular fit, careful it actually runs larger. Birkenstock website recommends going down one size. I tried it on at a store and im usually a 9US, but the only one that fit me was the 8 US equivalent

      • Nah I tried on, same as Nike. best people try them on anyway as some comments arent reliable on here.

Mydeal support also confirmed true to size.

Don't want too small or toe hits end, and narrower.

        Cheers
