What Extras Do I Need for My Newly Purchased Roborock Q Revo Robot Vac

Hi all

We have received the new Q Revo that was on sale as part of a recent JB Hi-Fi perks event. It has been unboxed and see that there are two mops that come with it and what looks to be a spare dust bag (I think).

As is always the case, in bright red letters on various pages in the instruction manual are warnings to only use Roborock cleaning fluid, original replacement mop parts etc otherwise fire and brimstone may rain down from the sky.

This is our first robot vac so while I don't advocate that I will heed the manufacturers advice, I would like to know from others who have robot vacs for a while:

  1. What are the key spares to look at getting in advance (if any)
  2. Where are reliable, reputable and reasonable suppliers of any spare parts we should get.
  3. What do people use for the cleaning fluid side of things when using the mop function
  4. What do others do on a regular basis to clean the unit, mop heads etc to ensure it functions optimally each time.

Just looking to ensure the investment lasts so any pointers from those more experienced would be awesome.

      I was thinking of a belated robot vac shower. Maybe that way people could bring me the extras I would need.

    I have about 10 mop pads from aliexpress so I've always got some clean ones ready to go. They've been getting better and better quality wise (I haven't bought any in over a year though).

    Some cleaning fluid keeps the house smelling ok especially if it's humid. I don't find it cleans any better! We have the eecovacs fluid since it was more accessible to buy.

    Clean the unit according to the app schedule!

      So the mop pads are generic between brands? What store did you use on AE?

        I can't remember, I just typed in Roborock S7 mop pads.

    Hey jollster101, congrats on your new machine! I would get spare dust bags and spare mops, I watched online videos trying to recycle the dust bags, but the process triggered my dust allergies, so I decided to search for reasonable priced replacement online.

    I got it on Valentine's day and missed the Perks event, I was pretty gutted that I bought it a week early. Any chance you have a screenshot from JBHifi on that deal? I am hoping to try asking them for a partial refund if possible. Thank you!
