eSIM in an iPhone 12 USA, Only as a Hotspot (Model # 2403)

Hey Bargainers,

I've got a phone that's not eSIM compatible and I want to take a spare phone (iPhone 12) to use as a hotspot, it's eSIM capable and wifi my 'real' phone.
I see a lot of the bargains on here for eSIMs are suggesting some of these eSIM plans are even ok with hotspots.

Several of them let you specify either T-Mob or AT&T, anyone know which network is the smart one to use with Aussie / Global A2403?

Secondly, anyone actually done this recently? It's only 15 days, prob just want 20GB max. What would people recommend?

  • I bought a physical esim adapter - $US25, delivered.

Planning to use it on an upcoming trip - avoids needing to lug around another phone.

Don't know how reliable it'll be, but tested it on a local esim, and it worked well.

That's super weird, why not just use a physical?

      • Because when travelling, sometimes it can be challenging to get a physical local sim, ie India.

  • Why not just use your “real phone” with an eSIM?

      It's not esim capable.

      I don't like removing physical

      • I don't like removing physical

Get somebody else to remove it for you then.

  • Hope you're going to take advantage of Free roaming data and local calls whilst in US
