Possible tablet bargain? - Fail

Got this with my spam today, but couldn't find brand from quick scan so no idea if any good, and have never ordered from these guys (don't know how they got my email in fact)…

Anyone know if the reseller and device is reputable? If yes, feel free to post as deal if I don't get onto it in next 15 mins

  • Not sure what the Cpu is or how it performs, however looking at the overall specifications would point to this tablet being fairly low end. The resolution is very low (even lower than the first ipad) and internal memory is very limited (8 gigabytes).

    Design is odd too.
The power switch and volume rocker is placed on the rear of the tablet. I wonder how you're supposed to reach that button when you're using a case…

If you are interested in a 10.1 generic tablet I would recommend the Cube u30gt (it sells for $200, and a few days ago it was on offer for 180). It has excellent battery life, very stable official Jelly Bean software and it runs a high performance Rk3066 chip set (beats Tegra2 in benchmarks).

  • Yeah saw that one and just missed it, but think I'll wait and see Win8/RT tablets first - posting this more if a goody… Cheers for headsup and glad didn't post as deal ;)

  • It's a Sanei N10/Ampe A10. Lots of reviews on the net and on YouTube.

CPU: Uses American Freescale quad-core i.MX6Q CPU

Not sure why it emphasis on "American" when Freescale i.MX6Q is not much faster than Chinese home made RockChip RK3066. It also uses Vivante GC2000 for GPU. With experience of my previous Vivante-powered tablet (MSI Enjoy 10 with RK2918), I probably won't touch it :)
